New and question about templates

Hi, I am new here along with faily new to help webdesign. I incorporate the use of a html editor (a freebie WE found ie trellian) and find my technique around photoshop6.

I want to set up an online store. I have been taking a look at the templatemonster ‘online store’ web themes. I; ve tried this live chat guide thing but you can find never anyone presently there

Can anyone tell me only need a superior html editor for instance dreamweaver, golive in addition to frontpage
Can I use everthing else apart from these people

Also when it pronounces a requirement is definitely photoshop7, will HALF A DOZEN be ok

I expect your replies and learning a great deal from here!

Sharkbait!

You’ve answered most of your own doubts.
Most live shows on sites like Template Monster usually are either defunct or even never worked to begin with……….. so you can’t bank on these people for answers.
The many programs that an individual mentioned are great programs with at WYSIWYG format. Dreamweaver is essentially the most versatile out with the 3 you stated. Frontpage writes " unclean code" so there are a few browser and signal issues.
Choose Live, requires a bit more knowledge but if you are using other Adobe merchandise, it could be easier to work with.
In the western world Photoshop, version 6 needs to be fine. Obviously, there isn’t some of this newer editing fine detail in CS, but in case you can upgrade to 7 that will serve.
My best advice what is the best HTML program to work with is to visit a local bookstore and look at all of these businesses programs and see what one you would hold the least trouble in.
All the best……

I have another approach you might want to look into.

Since you want an online store and you need to be able to control
that catalog, images, catalog, and customer acquisitions…

I would suggest you uncover what ecommerce systems your webhost
offers (for free possibly). These would most probably be PHP/MySQL scripts
that could be hosted with your website. They would help you handle
the many aspects of a person’s store and handle mastercard processing.

I mention this because when you install one of these brilliant systems, they actually
create the pages available for you. You customize their templates to create the
site look like the method that you want.

This means that you would install everything Before you spend the time
making your webpages.

Only a thought…

Thank you for the response.
I dislike the basic appearance of oscommerce and I do not think I could personalize it myself to take a look half decent but I think I might select squirrelcart.
I suppose everyone needs to start somewhere don’t they!
