RedHat Linux .iso
Feel I suppose to acquire the i386 iso or even the SRPMS iso to get RedHat 9. 0 The actual difference Which linux distribution would you recommend to setup for a server, that can be user-friendly Got the answer to the primary one. Minute one Yeah i386 is for most PC components configurations… Also for that distributions… Red Hat is reknowned for it’s server-capabilities as well as being the standard linux equipment software. However, mandrake will be most user-friendly (even carries a nice pretty graphical setup). If you can’t know anything related to linux, I’d reccomend mandrake, if you choose, I’d reccomend Reddish Hat. It’s user-friendly sufficient. Brak’s hit it around the nose pretty significantly. Knoppix is just nice if you need to run Linux, although not install it (Runs over CD, in RAM). Professionally, I’m setting upwards a server in a number of weeks, and Im debating using Linux as well as Win2K3 Demo in it.

Any problems you might have or extra instruction for the right way to install ask here or you may find the answers at LinuxQuestions. org Learn some documentation regarding redhat.. it’s not that hard. the reason that there’s countless tutorials for iwndows is because it’s so hard to acquire it working. About linux, it’s commonly a quickie. I believe you type with the command line to obtain it started, and then open a cell phone, and go to http: //localhost/ or http: //127. 0. 0. … Continue reading

Please help!!! Form required
Hi all, I wonder if someone can assist me please. I have recently put together a site for someone, it is www. confettidreams. corp. uk and the lady Concerning designed it pertaining to wants this: The order/enquires page I desired something like an ordinary form that is emailed to us direct……. along your lines of… Name Email Telephone Address Designer Program code name/number Quanity Colour Size Time frame required Order or enquiry Just how do i do this You should please help! Thanks beforehand! Sarah xxx You have got to use a server-side encoding language to compile the data and then send it on the clients email tackle. e. g languages: PHP, ASP, Perl. Its rather than that hard, though, if you dont have time to study some basic programming then you could just look up an email script from google or one thing. Make sure you know your net servers specifications before you just write the script. If you work with a Windows machine, use ASP. If you work with a Linux host, use Perl as well as PHP. Do not double post. Line closed.

We have just started employing Quanta to write a fresh site. Has anybody used it If so, what do you see it It seems pretty good up to now but I’d love to know if these have any short-comings ahead of I get too involved with it. Many thanks http: //quanta. sourceforge. net/ I hate Linux to be a desktop environment hence I wouldn’t find out. Fair plenty of That’s the correct URL for the particular app. I’ve only lately switched to Linux and at this time I find it preferable to Glass windows. It seems to allow a lot more control over just how it works. Perhaps there are several people out generally there who don’t hate Linux I love linux as any server and pc system –it great for me but you wont find much linux users all-around (desktop) Accurate. That’s why I’m using it. I’m a network administrator and I would say that now there aren’t many problems with Windows that MY PARTNER AND I can’t resolve. Unfortunately several of people by using those skills about so I believed I’d branch out in to the less saturated market of Linux web 2 . 0 – hence using … Continue reading

2 problems — need help!
Hello, I’m new to web design and this is definitely my first page: http: //gx-temp-domain. 50megs. com/ (it’s pertaining to my brood war clan). Having two problems with this, though, the first that is that I’ve unsightly blue/purple packing containers around my property’s buttons. Is this for the reason that they’re each inside their own table row/cell I’ve tried setting that will " link" plus " vlink" attributes to " white" in my body tag as a way to match the white-colored background, but that didn’t find a way to work. The next problem is with the iframe in the middle of the page. I sized it making sure that it would appear tasteful in IE6, but when investigating the page with Mozilla (linux compile) it can be distorted. Is there the best way that I may ensure cross-compatiblity concerning browsers That may be it, thanks!

Opinions on RSS
we have done a small research into and in every am not truly that impressed. perhaps i dont know it enough however if someone these has an opinion or reason behind like or angst lets here them The reason its catching in so well is because it highlights what online was ment pertaining to, accessing information rapidly. You can check out rss threads quickly instead of having to waves to each site one at a time and wade via pages or media threads.. Its all in one spot and all in an uncomplicated to recognize formatting. It makes getting information on-line very quick plus efficient. I don’t see the use in it client-side, it’s just bothersome if you ask me. Nonetheless… for taking head lines from other sites, I think it is just a supurb idea. By way of example, you can get ALA’s current articles listed in your site if you want without having to do anything about the idea, same goes with regard to top news storeis, slashdot, for example. That, I consider, it the accurate beauty of them. Agree by using Brak, it’s good for including buttons to content out of one site upon another. By way … Continue reading

Help needed on image gallery…
Hi there all, I’ve been asked to make a webpage that will display jpeg images from a certain way. Say some image size, some pics across, five pics down, that method of gallery. Since these images is going to be pulled up from the folder on the webserver that a member of staff takes care of the pics only should be resized for the display on the webpage, not truly resized themselves. Exist any ‘How-to’s’ and also examples, can that be coded throughout HTML, VBScript or Java What about any feeware plug-ins or even applications Any advice greatly appreciated, Mitch… This should involve a server-side language such as PHP or Perl. These programs will reside on the web host’s server and would want to be installed and designed by you. There are plenty of " gallery" type programs scripts on the market… prices vary. The part in relation to re-sizing complicates things a bit. Not all internet hosts allow users to apply the photo resizing modules they will or may not have access to installed on his or her servers. This means, you would need to have the correct measurement images uploaded in the first place. If your company owns … Continue reading

Why not ensure it is a download And it will also be wise to seperate the item into different pieces.. Like: Easy methods to, This subject, Yet another subject.. so it really is smaller download measurements.. Ok, lets say WE chopped it down to 20 minutes, are usually best format, I am wondering are usually difference between mpeg1-2 as well as mpeg3-4. What are a lot of the tools that tend to be standard and user-friendly and uncomplicated. Anything else that may be of importance resolving this problem. Thanks. BD9 you cant really stream anything longer over a couple minutes. Trust us. Just cause it to downloadable, or minimize it into numerous chapters/sections. Streaming would only require a matter of seconds of buffering occasion. I might suggest Windows Press Player. QuickTime isn’t favorite for streaming and Real is probably a POS … Continue reading
