site nav, sub menu — help!?!
Hello! Now i am using ImageReady, implementing my layout, mastering as i choose. I’ve never employed slicing before, plus i’m having difficulties. We’ve a basic nav menus, with buttons, plus rollovers. I’m attempting to make it so that when the user clicks on the button a submenu unwraps up. I’ve made use of slices and onclick rollovers, along with the submenu does appear when the particular button is clicked… Then again, when the sensitive mouse is moved them dissappears! I tried giving out the slices to incorporate the areas the submenus are in, but some with the submenus overlap (some get more links as compared to others) so ImageReady wouldn’t quite well then , i’ll do that. Similar to i said, i have never started any page in ImageReady prior to, I usually work in DreamWeaver… And i can’t seem to search for the solution i need in the help files. Does anyone have any experience by using ImageReady or Navigation Menus similar to this I would appriciate just about any help! Thanks! .

How on earth do you add links plus stuff Everyone make them along with Photoshop, export as well as edit them with Dreamweaver, FrontPage possibly Notepad, at least you know HTML. You possibly can export your graphics from Photoshop into Flash/Fireworks to make navigation menus that url to pages on your webblog. Dreamweaver is software that will help you design your website and definately will make out the proper code for you. You can put whatever content you want one specific with much ease, but it is a good idea to have some history knowledge on WEB CODING since errors complete occur. If you realize what you’re carrying out, you can easily fix the problem. Don’t depend at Dreamweaver for almost everything. =) There’re used make the actual layout design, then the photographs are sliced upward and exported to some HTML file. Cool Navigation Menus
Look at: http: //www. bmwusa. com That rollovers are chilled out and clean looking… how do you create this Please illustrate the idea clearly, as I am a beginner. Your signature is fairly reflective of what you ought to do before tackling a thing as relatively tricky as this rollover. Its likely done using some mixture off JavaScript and CSS, but you probably need to find out what those plus XHTML are before tackling the issue of how to accomplish that rollover. Normally, you’ll just copy and paste the particular code posted in this article and (1) most likely not understand it and (2) enhance the probability of that malfunctioning.

Navigation Menu – Best Practices
Can it look badly to make use of the ul tag to map out a navigation menu How about surrounding the nested li tags with divs so each menu button features a separate CSS formatting If it does look badly, what exactly are some technics which might be considered " greatest practice" for producing navigation menus That the menus are user-friendly and uncomplicated, work with or maybe without javascripting or flash, render properly with regard to accessibility (like screen readers for any blind), and chek out pertinent content. Test your site out with a variety of people. If it takes anyone more in comparison with 5 seconds to figure-out the way to navigate your web site, start over. You’ll quickly find out any problems you might have… for example poorly positioned for those browsers, or several screen sizes, challenging to read, challenging to click, inadequately worded. If it’s important to tell people the way to navigate, you’ve unsuccessful already. The method that you make the menus happen (the scripting, layouts, coding)… whatever you do is fine. You won’t need to make each < li> any < div> : make classes with regard to them instead, if you want them to … Continue reading →
