Problems converting Layers to Tables
I am dying over right here. I have already been creating websites using layers when using the DIV tag. Me and tables usually do not get along far too well. The problem is the layers stay consistent, and dont move once the site is resized. That is certainly fixed with espresso, but i guess the actual problem is with the resolutions. The sites appears to be great in 1024 nevertheless half of it goes heli-copter flight screen at SIX HUNDRED. My current web site http: //www. looseleafmusic. com is often a perfect example of this. Within Dreamweaver, you might convert layers for you to tables, this is usually wonderful, but this doesn’t happen work all that well personally. When i alter it, the layers get tossed in the wrong place. Only leave it because layers, it appears to be horrible in 800×600. I am not terribly about the existing website on http: //www. looseleafmusic. com, but with the new one we have been creating. the brand new site is in the short term at http: //www. looseleafmusic. com/bustedtables/ this site is done along with layers… This one is converted to tables. http: //www. looseleafmusic. com/bustedtables/index2. htm Obviously normally the one … Continue reading

How would I lay this design out onto html?
I’m having difficulties on the place to start cutting this format I designed with photoshop. I are interested to take 100% with the web browser look at, regardless if consumers are viewing in 800×600 or 1024×768. I designed it 750×600 now I can’t figure out how to cut it and also lay it out there, specially with that mascot(the shroom like character about the right side with the image). If anyone right here has time that will me out We would highly appreciate the idea. Thanks ahead of time! You incorporate the use of tables that span percentages with the page, and make the actual borders/gradients a bg image of your respective cells. On huge resolutions however, the page may look too spread out due to loss of content. Don’t have learned to that exactly, I’m a poor html writer. I’ll try to search for some tutorial during this, If anyone recognize any, please i want to know. Thank you for replying. I simply threw this together, theres still alot of work to perform and its nevertheless fairly complicated however it does what you deserve. put your info from the < div> tags as well as the < td> tags … Continue reading

1024×768 and 800×600 question
WE made my initial site… just starting to read this stuff! The deal is while i view it applying 1024×768 it seems to be great…. but merely switch to 800×600 it has the terrible! Everything is huge and you must scroll forever to check out things. I used fireworks to try and do the graphics and dreamweaver that will put it together…… anything I could do to ensure it is look good in both resolutions Furthermore… if I’m designing my site applying fireworks then slicing it as long as export to dreamweaver… just what exactly good canvas size align it to formerly Thanks for every help or source! Design it to ensure the site is not bigger than related to 769 pixels, to ensure it fits in every resolutions, or nonetheless, you could create a ‘liquid’ design. In case you make your web-site 780 pixels extensive, it will cover bulk of the screen with 800×600, and still look great on larger file sizes. Most likely your site is too vast and thats the condition. You’ll need to produce it narrower. Another angle taking when designing sites would be to make them 100% thicker, but that can get confusing sometimes. Everyone. … Continue reading
How do I..
Just how do i add text in order to an image site in dreamweaver.. Sighger Art’s See should the site is throughout lower resolutions the particular text is squeezed to at least one side. You are using absolute ranking to lay away your text. If you specify the text to get started on at 400 pixels towards the left of that screen, your text will certainly obviously begin above halfway across a great 800×600 resolution. An easier approach to lay this out is usually to use tables. Using tables around Dreamweaver is pretty simple investment, check it out and about. Yeah, employ absolute positioning, or you could cut the image(s) up and work following that. Google for a few answers. Utilizing absolute positioning is definitely what’s causing the problem. Using tables can be one (very easy) fix to the current problem.

Does the size of the computer screen affect the way web pages are viewed?
After a friend observed my site for initially, he informed us that my major banner is not available on Internet Explorer. Next time i viewed the web-site, I saw no not available. Everything seemed acceptable. Does the size on the computer screen affect how web pages tend to be viewed Only the resolution with the screen can change the display on the webpage. Are you viewing it within a different browser than IE Li Brad You possibly can simulate different resolutions by using a plug-in for Mozilla Firebird. … Or by making use of JR’s resolution viewer inside ‘tutorials’ section. It is best to refer that width thing to resolution. As well as affect the technique webpage are seen. < — if you can’t specfic the placement of objects as part of your webpage. You possibly can fix that having fix-size table (or shape, or whatever). Remember not to ever use % pertaining to height and bigger. But for the people with smaller coomputer sceens, resolution is actually affected by its monitor width and video card also. I always idea that only resolution affects web site viewing, but if you need to get technical, thus does the observe, video card, … Continue reading

Plainly were to produce a layout for this website in Photoshop and then use the Html code to make any page in Frontpage, when will i make it so per monitor the layout comes 100% along the screen in proportion As being a default setting for just a website in Photoshop is 500×600 with pixels. But MY SPOUSE AND I dont want this specific in pixels, I would like it in percents therefore it is the same per person who outings my site. Is there any way to achieve this If you mean what I think you mean you should make your page so it can expand for different resolutions. which means you will need to repeat images and so forth. Is what you mean So they really don’t break way up Yes, thats spinning program so well. What do an individual mean by reproducing images And yes I’m getting it so the idea works on almost all resolutions. ok concerning a layout around photoshop. its here: http: //www. freewebs. com/neutralwhite/layoutin. jpg. their 600×500 pixels. -newbe-how to make resolution independent pages ?
a)I include these templates using the frames, PSD files and many of the little images… women and men problem is i always cant get this to display appropriately all Monitor file sizes.. it only works right for starterst resolution… b) The right way of manipulating a template to make your own site is to mess around considering the layers in this PSD file after which cut out pieces from the final product to suit in the frames of the template Here’s I right a) utilize tables and established their size to 100% from the page width, so that they will resize subject to the resolution. Or create two versions on the page, one optimised for 800×600 and something for 1024×768. Subsequently use: < script language=" javascript" > <! — whenever ((screen. width> =1024) & & (screen. height> =768)) windowpane. location=" highres. htm"; else windowpane. location=" lowres. htm"; //–> < /script> to load the right page. Or you possibly can make a site which is 780 pixels huge, so it can fit any screen resolution from 800×600 and up. There will be unused real residence on larger file sizes, but people with large resolutions arrived at expect this IMO.

need help on creating a bar that adjusts to user’s resolution
I am trying to develop a bar across the top of my web page that adjusts for the resolution of that user’s screen so that whatever resolution the customer has the bar spans across the screen. If someone could possibly give me some cheap do this that could be great. Many thanks What would that bar contain Would it you need to be one plain color or would the item have an image in The bar is a shape of a wave which has a red/white diagonal gradient. If the bar repeats itself arfter a period, then you might cut the image to that width and then are repeat as the background to somewhat of a cell or a new div. What regarded as a do If the bar won’t repeat itself. I am very new from this. I want to buy to do a similar thing that ‘microsoft’. com’s top bars do. If you modify the resolution on your screen that adjusts while the rest looks to always be set for 800 x 600 pixels. I am using Dreamweaver and various Macromedia programs that will put the site mutually. Well, if one side in the image is yet colour, … Continue reading

Beginning elements ok?
So guys……… here I go again. We have attached an example. jpg of what We have started on for the new www. thomasinamusic. com. POST haven’t added almost any nav bars, content, or anything like this yet. This is the beginning features. Please tell me what you think, as a kick off point, or any strategies or comments. And to note: I have designed this in a very 800 X SIX HUNDRED canvas in Photoshop. I don’t know if that is correct or certainly not, or if WHEN I should bump it as much as 1024 X 768. Once more, thanks for just about all comments/suggestions. gretsky I truly feel that the colors are drastically wrong. Perhaps a white background 800×600 is definitely prefered, but it’s up to people. But it never hurts to be nice to people in lower resolutions! One particular note though, an individual running in 800×600 cannot naturally see exactly 800×600 for their browser. http: //hotwired. lycos. com/webmonkey/99/41/index3a_page2. htmltw=design That is the useful page this shows the ‘true’ shareable size for websites in various windows in various file sizes. It really is definently a video heavy site. I would go on and try it that has … Continue reading →
