Preload images or use a status bar to indicate page load progress?

Howdy, I’m redesigning my own site for a change and still have decided to use Simple Controls Gallery for the image viewing (it’s some sort of photography website). Nonetheless, it’s taking around 10 seconds for any gallery to initialise. We have 52 images up to now, all " saved for web" through Photoshop to minimize size. I think preloading the images would be counter productive as which is what the JS gallery script does on. Is there a way of integrating some sort of status bar and also countdown clock if anyone else is to see while the gallery initialises And here is the link: http: //www. 17minutes. company. uk/ Many thanks, Lol Are you sure it’s your images causing the condition and not the gallery If it’s the images, preload them independently without the gallery and display them over a page. No strange effects or anything at all… just the FIFTY TWO images on 1 page. This noises excessive, but you’re wanting to determine whether it’s the images or the gallery that is the problem. I suspect it’s the gallery, even with FIFTY TWO server calls to receive those images. Another thing you could possibly do is weight a … Continue reading

How do I load Image that is Byte[] that I get from the DB to the client side?

Hello, I got a problem and I didn’t find the answer with Google, maybe I’m not looking perfect Well the following is the thing, I receive through the DAL a var that may be Byte that features an image(jpg for example) And now I want to be able to convert it for you to an image and show it about my client side page. How to do that Thanks for the help. p. vertisements I develop within asp. net Here’s how i would do the item in C#. web and VB. web. Thought process you, storing images within a database generally isn’t the most effective way to go related to doing things. The extra overhead created by having to retrieve an entire image and diplay this vs. generating an image tag determined by a file inside filesystem alone causes it to be worth storing images in the file system. http: //databases. aspfaq. com/database/should-i-store-images-in-the-database-or-the-filesystem. html If you possibly could just store a reference on the file in the particular database (along along with image dimensions… your page a lot will decrease a great deal if you might call the image dimensions from DB) vs. the image by itself, you’ll probably be … Continue reading

Google Analytics

A niche site I am some sort of member of is currently having a contest, and i were reading about that on Twitter. Basically they own hidden images on the webpage and if you see an image you may win software and also services. Since the start of the contest they experienced thousands of key on their web page, and some persons are staying on the webpage for hours at a time. This is an enormous surge and is sure to show up inside the Google Analytics statistics belonging to the site. My question is, will this substantial (if temporary) increase both in traffic and length of discrete clients, as reflected within Google Analytics, affect just how Google will return coursesmart in its serp’s In any word… no. You can find absolutely no relationship between Analytics plus SERPs, nor must there ever become one. Since that metrics for web page success vary extensively between sites, what may be considered a successful measure for one is often a failing measure to get another. For case in point, a high bounce rate is truly a thing for your directory or webpages, because it means anyone got to what he/she intended to quickly. … Continue reading

I tried to eliminate my hosting a year ago, finally they eliminated my site. We’ve a new host and possess changed the computers at my area hosts and anything is progressing. Then again, in Google it’s really a description for that old hosts internet site. When will the following change Do I can resubmit my web page to Google If you do a Google hunt for Street Photography my site appears upon page 2, 17minutes Road Photography. Regards, Lol It will not hurt in order to resubmit to Search engines. The genuine article is " time". It can take a even though to switch. regards, I’ll get the site finished then re-submit. Earliest things first, plus Lol, this will be informational only… people are likely to see very different results to your search because 1) it’s generic and 2) Google geotargets (among some other reasons, but most of these two alone suffice). Actually that some persons won’t even observe what you’re talking about because they’ll be querying a Canadian datacentre (as MY SPOUSE AND I did) or the US datacentre (as some others will) or some other non-UK datacentre. http: //www. google. co. uk/searchq=Street Photography& hl=en& rlz=1T4GGHP_enCA413CA413& prmd=ivnslb& ei=jTK7TfrCM8u4tgfrlO3DBQ& start=10& … Continue reading
