New to HTML & Web Design – Looking for a web editor

Ive built one page for a web site constructor – and I realize these are crappy. I now have very basic code understanding (slighlty understanding css) My question is what will be the BEST web site editor program make use of My friend recommended Dreaemweaver 8: I downloaded some sort of trial version and up loaded a pre-made template which was in html & Css. Dreamweaver seems incredibly complicated (and expensive easily want to obtain it) So why is it consequently expensive Is coffee beans cup, homesite or FrontPage every different Ive heard bad reasons for FrontPage but confused why everyone would seem so down about it. Ive also utilized Frontpage to edit a generic template and it seemed easier in comparison with dreamweaver. Does Frontpage mess while using code somehow MY SPOUSE AND I heard they use unnecessary code generating SEO difficult. Alternative to Dreamweaver?

absolute or relative positioning?

hi. Im really confused relating to this. I have started building a website in dreamweaver using a table. I have centered the dining room table. The challenge starts when i attempt to using layers. I need to layer quite a few text over the image. If i use absolute positioning the text will forever remain at some sort of fixed point next time i resize the browser (which is pointless). When i employ relative positioning layer will never lie together with the image. It is very frustrating. can someone offer a sugguestion please gives thanks. Make the image a background image of the table, or dump the actual table and learn how to use divs. Putting text together with an image described in HTML is never the way to do it. Including Eddy said, the best ways to put word over an graphic is you fill out an application that image as a background. I strongly propose you dump the table in addition and go CSS up! "Files" panel in Dreamweaver

I do not know if I have a different version involving Dreamweaver 8, but I will be trying to publish my " images" folder to the server so I don’t have to upload dozens with files one at any given time. However, my " Files" panel doesn’t contain the symbols for uploading (up plus down arrows), connecting for the server, etc. It just features a drag down list for viewing neighborhood files, 2 laptop or computer icons with file transfer protocol. followed by the site, and some sort of managing sites link. I need every single child upload the entire folder at once. It took us 45 minutes simply to upload the images for my index. I cannot afford to achieve this every time I update. How can i get the default check out back. HELP! Regards very much ahead. I actually were required to uninstall Dreamweaver 8 so as to restore my non-payments. active x pops up…

hi everyone, ive been trying to design a site using fireworks, dreamweaver & somewhat in frontpage… but when make an effort to view it from the browser, a yellowish toolbar pops available saying " enable active content"… does anyone recognize a script or anything on how ill reduce that toolbar… coz this doesnt display this page correctly, the particular rollover effects, the flash content would not display, not unless of course i’ll click which yellow toolbar as well as click the permit active x subject matter… i am hoping you could help me on this ne… thank everyone… _ Nicely… the warning can there be for a cause. It can be dangerous for scripts to possibly be run. I really don’t realise why you need an ActiveX object in your site (nor why should you make navigation inside images, nor why should you have flash content, nor why it is best to even use frontpage – but would you different story).
