Confused!

Hey guys, I have been looking throughout the site for a little bit now and I realise that the majority of members here are experienced in internet design/ development. I will be not, I am in the beginning stages, I have one problem how to start, I am fortunate enough to get programs such since, Dreamweaver mx, Pen mx, photoshop cs and a number of others, it is merely using them that’s the problem, and chosing what one to use, I have heard that one could create a web page using purely photoshop, but I do not understand how that very works, I happen to be told be many people to use dreamweaver, although not to by other folks because it apparently may be a different html code if you ever wern’t codeing it from scratch. My goal is within several months down the line I want to own created a webpage myself codeing this from scratch. I want to have these folks preloaded for operation reasons, but it should be done sequentially its not all at once to be nice to the actual user’s bandwidth.
