A guassian blur with the background over the translucent box could possibly look nice.
I’m not quite feeling it.. looks like something you might see in a very multimedia presentation or maybe whatnot, but not a site.
Yes, I agree together with glyakk. Looks like something that is going to be used from a PowerPoint presentation. Fine design tech though!
