Very well, I just recently made sure to make my own design services, although I’ve been doing it on and off for some years now. Whenever I present people mockups they’re almost always screenshots. The only time I imply to them html layouts is usually after I’ve got the bid.
I have been previously using ebook compilers. Them works ok, I guess. It allows them to determine the whole website in it’s entirety, and since it is really compiled, there is no actual html inside the file. The disadvantage in this is i always can only do this with pc customers… I haven’t sent the ebook compiler guys to actually ASK if you experience a way for making it compatible with the rest or not…
regardless… that’s the just solution I’ve regarded, because most of my clients are web entrepreneurs that don’t hold the time or know how to come up with designs on their very own. So, they wouldn’t possess the slightest clue as to how to decompile machines language and turn it back into web coding… lol.
You should be careful though, because some compiler’s will actually work by compressing each of the files, and then should the program is run it is going to unpack the web coding files and graphics into a temp directory. Usually the one I use doesn’t achieve that, thankfully. But a few do.
Additionally, so long because the pages don’t use just about any SSL there are generally no problems running the site… everything else will continue to work, links, forms, javascript… actually links outside that document.
I’m attempting to move into far more dynamic page focused designs though, so unless something new doesn’t work that can think of the SSL, then I’m #$ outside of luck… hehe
