Creating a dynamic image?

What I’d like to do is definitely w/ some snazzy value (php / javascript / CSS / mysql), is always to create a background for the forum avatar. Now because avatars will come in different sizing’s, the background should expand to the larger ones. I know sometimes it is done w/ a few CSS, but Now i’m no expert

From the example below (click the actual pic, it’ll mature, easier to see), consider the blue square for the red background (the left half) as a static image, while using right half as being a full red background, with the avatar above it (CSS magic! ).

At this point, in the very first one, the avatar is from the standard parameters (say 1×1 to 50×50 pixels within size), so some computer code w/ a 54×54 pixel red-colored square image would work with some CSS placing to center your avatar’s upper eventually left corner to A FEW, 3 on that background image would work properly. Note that it is assuming with any 50×50 avatar, it’ll give you a 2 pixel border about the avatar, hence the particular 3, 3 placement

ANYWAY, here we reach the real problem. In the next image, you’ll see that left side from the first image embedded within the upper left fretting hand corner. In this kind of image, more background ought on the still left side (dynamic background creation somehow), as well as the right hand area. This avatar could be between 51×51 pixels in addition to 100×100 pixels.

Therefore first, is my story clear enough Any one have ideas on tips on how to do this

I’m not 100% clear on what you’re talking with regards to. Amongst other issues, will the background that is expanding be a good image or a solid color If it truly is an image, are you drinking vertically repeatable

intended for simplicity, the background is going to be one color. Unclear what’s easier, creating a table, or iframe, and also whatever, with your hardcoded background colour, or repeating your 1×1 pixel image as needed.

Effectively, this seems like it could be relatively straightforward, after that. You would possess a containing div when using the relevant background colouring. Then, the image which might be bigger (the character, presumably) would often be right-aligned with several margin or foam on it. Then you’d require the smaller graphic and absolutely position it from the containing div with a certain offset with the top left.

Does that appear to be what a different

Yep, sounds like it. But… may it work with vBulletin

Er… I can’t see why not If you can place the avatar inside a div, it need to work. In way of thinking.: -P.
