Hello Woocksie.
From your post I am not sure when you’ve got any HTML practical knowledge. This link will provide you with how to put images on the webpage.
This is just a timely mock up of your image (named header. gif) after which it a Heading (note: Headings get from < h1> that will < h6> with < h1> being the most important and < h6> being the smallest) after which it a link into a website.
< html> < head> < title> E-mail< /title> < /head> < body> < img src=" http: //www. woocksie. co. uk/images/header. gif" width=" 100" height=" 50" alt=" Woocksie header picture for e-mail distribution" /> < h1> This is Woocksie< /h1> < some sort of href=" http: //woocksie. com" title=" Woocksie" > See my website. < /a> < /body> < /html>
Things that will note:
- The attribute is that which is displayed if your image can not be found/unavailable during the time of the request. Display readers will read it out far too so make them descriptive.
- The attribute belonging to the < a> tag may be the tooltip that presents itself when your mouse hovers with the link.
Mastering HTML is fantastic, but HTML email is usually a whole different beast. If you think you’ll find issues with combination browser display connected with HTML & CSS, in which case you haven’t tried to have Outlook to display an email. Do your research, plus test on various platforms, every email client available has a different a better standard of support for HTML email.
