Drop Down menu options

We are building y website with dreamweaver and also have had a wagon from another company. I added drop down choices for products that incorporate color and measurement. The problem is they aren’t connected to your cart. I hold the add to carry button. It adds only the 1st option not any of the others if determined. I have used dreamweaver and w3schools to aid me learn to be able to code but I’m still new and would like to pull my curly hair out. How will i get my options to connect to the cart when selected in the drop down Depends on a variety of things. ONE.
