Content boxes.

Hi there everyone, looking at redesigning entry page on this site and POST quite like the thought of having the left side of the page ‘sectioned off’ having those nice metallic borders/squares that most sites are using right now ( ex http: //www. good-tutorials. com/track/7870). They look good and having looked around there are many photoshop tutorials to work with you in creating these but surely performing it this way limts you from the content that is displayed on top of that square/image section Supposing We have a square that may be say 100 pixels across by 300 down along with the content displayed on this can be a list of website links dynamically drawn originating from a database… it may store say 8 wrinkles of text but when you add another 5 links this textual content will continue over bottom of this square and ruin complete look. I suspect that this square is certainly a window that will another html or even asp page that may be displayed however page and so expands once the content grows larger. I have this website: State-of-the-art Natural – The actual World’s Best Healthy Health Products Bu I want to have bordered content boxes on the left like this specific website: Herbal Remedies and Natural remedies for ADD ADHD Stress and More Just how do i do that Primary, I’d advise you use a distinguish stylesheet, for lots of reasons. CSS allows you to separate from. It’s even doable to have multiple style sheet, helping you to have more than one way of displaying a page. If the entire style information is actually held within a good external style sheet, it is possible to edit that certain file and create changes (such since changing background and/or wording colours) across a total site and not touch a solo HTML file. Today, to your question: Make a new div for each box you would like to style with the particular border – call it sidebox and also something equally descriptive. your html can be something like: Code: < div class=" left" > < div class=" sidebox" > < h2> HEALTH AND WELLBEING ISSUES< /h2> < br/> < /div> <! — finish sidebox –> < div class=" sidebox" > < pick class=" combobox" name=" SiteMap" … Continue reading

Is the customer always right?

Together with my experience I’d initially say yes and attempt to push the shopper towards your design/layout. However Concerning recently been told that we am wrong as well as the customer is in no way right. Being a developer if the customer wants an internet site . that is definately not visualy appealing you shouldn’t accept their view becouse it could actually discredit you layout skills So will be customer always appropriate, should you design for their wants or should you design a web page that looks greater then what they surggest Assuming you aren’t hired by a web design/developing firm, as well as an overloaded designer/developer, then the consumer probably doesn’t understand anything about building a website. They do not know what works plus what doesn’t. For that reason they’ll imagine bizarre fantasy sites that contain flashing banners, horizontally scrolling content boxes, and pop-ups all over the place. They don’t know that this is bad form for your website. The designer should try their to hint along at the client that their idea of a design isn’t superior, and the template you have in mind would be superior. However, they’re paying you for " dream" web site, so if … Continue reading
