What to charge
Heya. I’m new to this thread. I’m not working for a web designer seeing that my day position, but I are getting busier. I’m the ol’ canundrum connected with " my cousin knows FrontPage that will do my web page for $100". I’ve been researching web design fees without having much achievements. I’m keen on this quote by http: //www. alistapart. com/stories/fee/fee1. html "… If you’re perfect. You’ll be hard pressed to look for a client who will be willing to cover your inefficiencies because you go through numerous designs, flip-flopping somewhere between frames and conference tables or between environmentally friendly and blue. Where don’t you draw the line between experimentation and also legitimate coding" But are usually answer Most of the sites I do do not own complicated forms, or anything else. ie: http: //www. shiftingears. com What don’t you guys charge Just about any tips With thanks. I charge what you will pay. It contains experience and learning concerning the business in common.. there’s no hard answer. Umm… u mean no quick answer Complicated will not necessarily mean more costly. The cost is obviously a tough stability between their banking account and yours, ever teetering within the brink … Continue reading

Ecommerce Site
Our cousin needs a strong Ecommerce site to sell his company t-shirts. I understand how to design sites, I have never developed an Ecommerce web page before. I’m aware i need to somehow develop a ‘shopping cart’ or something selling the shirts, but how to go about doing that may be there a healthier way He can’t have the funds for much, but he will pay for something if its worth it… Make sure you help! Either try and install/customize oscommerce or perhaps spend few bucks and hire an installer for just a quick job. Wouldn’t cost a lot for someone to run and customize osCommerce. It is a great shopping wagon with almost everything you will require. Is it possible to do to create the basic site, after which it just have a connect to the t-shirts place, where it will probably redirect to a further site created by a ecommerce business I don’t see any kind of problem with that. Here’s some e-Commerce Solutions it’s your decision to look into: http: //www. oscommerce. com/ http: //www. storefront. net/ http: //www. mals-e. com/ http: //www. smartstore. com/ http: //www. webgenie. com/ http: //www. comersus. com/ We’ve no experience with … Continue reading
E-Commerce Question
my cousin incorporates a company and wants to sell t-shirts on the web… whats the best way to do this, if he provides limited HTML knowledge and never much money to spend on setting the idea up. I can make as well as but I don’t know how to handle it about having persons shop on his / her site… u gotta build a shopping cart application. Not too challenging but takes many math skills in relation to the actual basket. In case you have some knowledge or javascript as well as a server side language then you should be fine. To have credit card transactions with your site then ur gonna have to fork out some cash, unless you want a dud company to handle it for anyone. For credit card transactions you need to use Pay Pal buttons on the site. It eliminates your need to obtain a merchant account.
Text and graphics overlapping when displayed in firefox/linux
Hello all, My cousin has designed the woman’s website using Dreamweaver FIVE. 0. Looks equally she wants the idea to when considered with Firefox on the inside Windows but any time viewed in Firefox using Linux the text desires to overlap the graphics below it. See link below for any with Linux. http: //www. smokesignalsfarm. com/Mares. html I guess my issue is, how should your lady go about ensuring that her website turns up well in different os’s and windows In FF in PC I have text overlapping images… is that just what exactly you mean (see attachement) Check out attachment 3456 Firstly DW4… that’s similar to… REALLY old!: ermm: DW reaches 8 now. Plus frankly, if you’re about to use DW WYSIWYG to build your page, I suggest the latest version since the idea creates page far better than older reproductions. I still doesn’t produce the top code on this planet but it’s far better than before. : let down: We appear to possess more problems as compared with we thought. Yours has overlaps about the horizontal plain along with the page seems to jog off the perfect hand side, unlike mine, when observing in linux, has overlaps about … Continue reading
