What is my problem???

Arghj! I have only finished making our new site as well as already am bored stiff of it and totally desire to start again! What the heck is my problem And I keep designing web sites that just get random stuff on and find bored with all of them really quickly, I think because of this , – I do not have a positive make an effort to reach for, nothing to encourage me to increase content to my own site. We would like something to produce a website about (remember my own previous posts with regards to this) I’m so annoyed along with myself, I don’t know why I wish to accomplish this but I want to place my whole web page away! What’s completely wrong with me Grrrr…. note: I’m not basically asking what my problem may be, although answers are usually welcome. You have what I plan to refer as: Webitus. Or perhaps, the techincal period or, web retardism. This can be a rare disorder in which the victim has an ‘addiction’ to website development. They may create one site seven days, or in pretty serious cases, some make-up to 3 sites per day. This disorder is … Continue reading

Full browser sized background images

Hi All, I have created a cross-browser technique of dynamically setting any kind of image to fill the entire size of a person browser window. The image scales proportionally should the browser window alterations and remains within a fixed postion when the page content scrolls upward or down. I have definitely not found anything on the internet that ticks almost all these boxes, but this indicates to fulfil a common need for creative designers. Please take a hunt and let me find out what you think: http: //www. theblackotter. com/backdrop. php Every little thing is Open Reference and free in order to download and use without restriction. What pixel width should I use for my site

Now i am curious to listen to responses here, a number of you are makers, some just gadget owners who search furiously. I’m debating getting someone to broaden my website (width with menu) by about 20px, possibly as much as 35px since it can be much thinner as compared with most fixed width websites. It utilizes a " 960 pixel" standard for design and style with 940px for the main content containers and 10px on each side regarding " gutters" for space and some other spillover of effects (like ribbons, and so forth. ) I had no idea until recently even what the " 960gs" grid technique was. I learned design by constructing websites and acquiring how good creative designers architect sites. I certainly sooo want to have the additional potential 30px and move to a 978 as well as 980 pixel thicker, which IMHO may be the widest any web site should go. I say " pertaining to mortals" because individuals with very high stop budgets can play around with increasing sidebars like Facebook (if you start your browser vast enough, you’ll find the sidebar and the idea disappears on scaled-down screens. ) Variable width simply isn’t going to … Continue reading

Noob Question

I’ve designed a few sites but usually from scratch. I notice a number of people seem to use templates these times, but I’ve never complied myself (except for two WordPress things). What are your thoughts about this Is it of great benefit just using web themes from now with, seeing as they’re just so sophisticated, or could it be a case connected with " real creative designers make their own" When yes, where must i find the most effective templates WHEN I always make sites from scratch. This will depend on what your own clients want. If they only want a generic site that you could gety done rapidly, might as well get hold of a template. If they have got specific needs, then make it from scratch and charge odds of. If it’s not necessary to design it, you’re not really much a designer will you be That’d be like someone arranging a room exactly like in a listing and calling themself a interior designer. Seeing that George said, when you have a client who seem to needs something extremely quick, and they learn you’re doing it, it wouldn’t be a big deal. I would claim, though, that in … Continue reading
