PHP vs. CMS

POST can’t decide which to focus my time on up coming. Which has already been more valuable to you, knowing PHP or knowing steps to make CMS templates I understand a little PHP (enough to to forms or perhaps edit WP web themes, etc. ) but I need to find out CakePHP to carry out frameworks.. But I also need to find out Joomla (and Drupal down the road.. ). It looks like both will take some rolling up in the sleeves, so I’d like some input spend money on what takes precedence. Any starting information or points in the right direction would be appreciated too. CMS (content supervision system)… most popular strategy to create a CMS is by using PHP and MySQL, but a CMS may very well be done with Perl, ASP, in addition to any server-side system scripting. I would figure out how to customize CMS devices, like Joomla, Drupal, Squidoo. By using that, you’ll be using plenty of PHP, and most probably AJAX, JQuery in addition to MySQL. . Simple question: Site intergration.

I am currently working over a site for this Gaming community that will develop and style and design sites for game enthusiasts. I was building by myself CMS and these kinds of, but I seriously am not wanting to dive into message boards and such. So question is, from another standpoint, if I integrate phpBB into my entire development with the site does it look bad for taking the easy way out Maybe I here’s just being fastidious You are capable of doing enough customization for making it have similar header, make a totally custom style for it, and then help to make custom icons, control keys, etc. then it’s going to be fine Oh yea Ya, I have fully redesigned all of the graphics in this forum, used a layout coming from a theme I appreciated, and credit is actually given where well deserved. Just wondering what some others thought were for the matter. I really want to access a professional levels, I just am tight by the due date so hard to develop/learn things of a really huge magnitude.

Hi guys, I recently started up an online site and I’m trying to create something akin to this site: http: //myanimelist. net/ That is definitely, I’m attempting to create a site by using similar features. -User Profiles w/ customization -Database -Forums I have little to not any experience so its safe to speak about I’m a total noob. IF anyone has tips or assistance on how I would even start something similar to this It would much appreciated.
