Installed Firefox, now viewed pages are different in Netscape!

All right, here’s the offer… First of all, the following web pages (listed below since examples) looked fine in my experience at first while viewed with Netscape HALF A DOZEN. 2, Netscape 7, IE 5 & IE SIX. Now I’ve heard many good things about Firefox (Mozilla), so I idea what could it hurt to install it & check it out Well, after putting in it, Netscape SIX. 2 shows those websites are all screwy or misaligned, and the navigations fade away to fast that you use it. Firefox shows the sites that way as well. Did firefox somehow produce some changes to my Netscape 6. 2 browser to ensure it would modify its view of pages Is he conflicting w/ each other because they each use Gecko Regarded as a uninstall Netscape 6 to fix the prob Help! BTW, I don’t deal with netscape 7 or maybe IE 5 presently, so I have no idea if those browsers’ look at the pages have changed in addition. Site validation issue

I merely got my site 100% valid XHTML JUST ONE. 0. And many was fine along with merry. It displayed nicely on all browsers and I got happy. Now immediately I added some sort of link somewhere while in the page and these have completly messed it all up. It can be fine in Firefox, that’s a surprise. This occassion the problem is within IE. Can anyone look at www. danieloliver. net on Web Explorer and view what they think can be wrong I cannot find anything. TDs in place for grabs. Desprete. Regards, Daniel Oliver. i’m getting lost down the middle of your tds and image names devoid of meaning, it looks like IE is attempting to give the cell a height cost, try setting the value yourself if an individual didnt already, try deleting the actual link and determine if it corrects the situation. I managed delete the connection. I compeltly re-did it all. And its removed really strange. Tried what people said but didnt often work. Avant Browser?

Hey, I was questioning if anyone other than them besides me has checked out the new Avant Browser Otherwise and you desire to take a evaluate it, you could possibly get it for zero cost here, http: //www. avantbrowser. com/ I’m sure its pretty hip myself, but people may think alternative wise. It looks like Avant Browser generally installs some critical features into IE that many other browsers curently have. Do it right and get the Ferarri. Firefox currently crushes IE, IMHO. It took ages for a web browser to even come in close proximity to replacing IE to me, and Firefox has managed to undertake it. I’ve heard many nutrients about Firefox, I’ll have to investigate it.

Browser Testing

My business is currently using the examples below browsers. Web Explorer Mozilla Mozilla Firefox to use my sites with, however I was wondering if there are actually any other recommended browsers that we should be examining my site in Is it important to test in all browsers used I do lots of testing for our sites but only inside above 3 browsers. Thankyou, Daniel. I’d have stated Safari is that you test in conceivably, though only your Mac browser. Opera / Netscape; although they adapt to standards usually they both conduct themselves slightly differently… but you’d should decide regardless of whether they are worth considering being a minority cell phone browser. Nono! Usually take Opear towards account, as the item r0x0rz.

Vcard

Hi all, I have put a chek out my vcard in my site, so users can easily download and preserve my contact details within microsoft email prog. I thought this was recommended, it works good with IE but should the link is clicked in firefox it starts up the vcard to be a text file. Could it be worth trying to overcome this or a few pointer ditch the vcard idea My business is not even guaranteed is non-ms e-mail prog’s recognise vcards. Site Redesign

Two questions with the fine people with WDF that halt long enough to help care – A SINGLE. Do you think I should stick with the old design (http: //fmd. port5. com) or develop the modern one, ignore the particular header though (http: //fmd. port5. com/Redesigns) (working for the domain soon – promise: -D) 3. Firefox users you will have spotted this already – how one can get the boxes to fall into line with the header (there’s something wrong while using CSS I think) http: //fmd. port5. com/Redesigns/ ) I dont just like the gray background upon #1, but usually it looks far better IMO. The second design is a superb concept, but I hate the nav, or along with scheme. The banner has lots of bright colors, and the other site is shades of blue. I think a balance must be struck. Also, I hate the font styles utilized in the nav, and the " fresh… " headings can be a little too huge IMO. Simply my 2 pence worth. Browser Weaknesses

I’ve finally got all around to making the page valid XHTML 1. 0 Transitional, but although it’s valid, i realize you can still get differences along with different browsers. I’ve heard from through at SitePoint community forums that as browsers render pages in another way, you need to understand about weaknesses in Browsers, and when there is when you take a step which messed up in a certain browser, therefore , the main questions i have here are. 1) Is there just about any Emulation program or script on the web that shows you what a page will look like in every diverse browser, across most of OS platforms (e. h. IE, Firefox, Opera, Konqueror, Safari, Myriad, etc). 2) Is right now there any specific site online dedicated to informing people around the problems in various browsers I’ve searched from the W3C site, but it really still doesn’t really clear stuff up with luck.

Test in Mozilla and IE not same

While i test a website I’m implementing, it previews excellent on IE and Netscape. However while i try it at mozilla it appearance really wide plus shows this on the top of the particular page: < %LANGUAGE=" JAVASCRIPT" CODEPAGE=" 1000" %> Thank you Try the idea in firefox on the other hand. IE and netscape do not realize big errors all around health suck with code. If you could get a site to take a look good in Firefox, you do have a site that can work towards most browsers that has a little tweaking.

Look with the div, it seems smaller in internet explorer than it will in the various other browsers.
