On huge resolutions however, the page may look too spread out due to loss of content. Don’t have learned to that exactly, I’m a poor html writer. 2 Questions (as the subject ot the line states) 1. What is meant once they say interface design and/or what would i learn in the course coming way up titled interface design 2. What would end up being the difference in utilizing a. GIF image rather then say a. JPG image Will JPG load faster with a webpage. Should you NOT utilize a gif image to get a standard image such as your banner against your website Thanks for the help, for what may appear like dumb questions. Plus I would just find out from school nonetheless im off to get a couple more weeks: classic: 1) As much as I’m aware, interface design is all about usability, navigation and having the job done. One example is, you would probably discover website navigation and how to do it easy for getting around a internet site, and perhaps if ?t had been a ‘non-specific’ course you might learn about software program interface design or maybe even a main system for a bit of hardware, such as a tv maybe a microwave. 2) Generally speaking, jpegs are made use of mostly for photographs or graphics with a lot of different colours, just … Continue reading

Got a logo but lost with design…

well I’ve a logo… internet. seraphservices. com but I are not aware of where to go from there… A 3d model flat color A combination of both is what exactly I most like. The logo will be nice, try a number of silver and green gradients here and there, and the 1px green border. Some dotted separator for your navbar and the chief area, and, -if you might be like me-, you get the inspiration when you experience Photoshop in prominent of you good plan but sorry WHEN I don’t get inspiriation a lot.

Ill post the useful comments sooner or later…. hmm this logo is really decent; theres nothing really wrong by using it. As for your nav.. it demands some work. It seems as if you used Xara or another program to make it (no offense). Another thing is the fact that bevels are one of the abbused affects people used in webdesign (along area gradients). 3D Designs

I am quite new an internet design, but I’m looking to assume to another amount. Specifically, I desire to bring some bit of a 3-dimensionality to my personal sites. Specifically, I’m interested in applying fill gradients and shadows behind dining tables. I have many questions, but primarily, is the only way to do this through the use of images I have researched a bit about using slivers to build fill gradients, but have experienced little luck tugging it off. I also wonder if it can be easier to just create a full image with a gradient after which just specify the height/width belonging to the table cell. I appreciate any help the more experienced web-designers out there usually provide. For the reason that CSS doesn’t yet support gradients or even drop shadows totally, you need to utilize images. Good to find out. As a consequence, these images really should be static, right Such as, a table that has a shadow box behind it could possibly not be coded in order that the table evolves as dynamic facts is dumped towards it. Unless, not surprisingly, the code imported a different image to make up. Does that seem correct You do not … Continue reading

I’m back building a new site, and get the layout planned and created. Nevertheless, my main problem (and the thing I’m not way too good with) will be the colour scheme. You can view how far I have got here, without the need of content or anything: http: //chrisbrewster. co. uk/mm MY PARTNER AND I particularly want the actual purple in generally there, but I’m unsure the gradients job, or if your dark background causes it to become look tacky. I’m trying your fixed width and also centred layout this occassion round. You could possibly notice the left border being a bit thicker inside Firefox too. For whatever reason, the vertical line around the background image didn’t appear in IE7 (must be obscured through the other divs), nevertheless worked fine along with FF. So I put in a left border for peace of mind. Almost any ideas peeps Thanks. hey guy, same with my family. not very beneficial choosin colors but i nfind that site help guides me within the right direction. likewise got this JUST ONE from karrine (cheers btw) desire it helps Thanks, I’ll look in those. Heya folks. I’m seeking to create a nav bar influenced by gradients. Now, the gradient goes one of many ways usually, and the other on hover. But I’m not sure how to handle it to indicate the particular current’ section. Any ideas If you’d like imagery, I can attempt to put some in place. Maybe select a darker version belonging to the regular gradient As well as, change the font colour How about just a plain color… no gradient I’ve noticed this done before (don’t ask me where… I don’t remember) along with I remember thinking so it was a nice contrasting tool for doing it. karinne — I’ve tried that, but I don’t like it much. Maybe I’m not using the right color, though — I used one of the two extremes. I’ll see what goes on if I use maybe one of the colors from in the gradient. I’ll try that darker version on the gradient, -chris-, that was not a bad thought. Changing the font colour isn’t enough, however, in my impression. How about like this, or this, using a color not while in the gradient, but somewhere else in the web site Ok, can this look: … Continue reading
