PayPal Shopping Cart–how good or how bad? Advantages, problems, opinions please.

Hi there. Here is what I know about shopping carts: About 2 issue, I tried MivaMerchant. Which usually, at that time frame, was " the" inexpensive cart that is configured by a strong amateur to do just about anything. Or so all people said. I joined up with the newsgroup. After many weeks of work, it had been clear that it could take me many months to get this thing looking presentable. Plus–what would happen to all those " modifications" when there was an upgrade Plus–credit greeting card processing fees along with integration were one more hurdle. Plus–some doubts about security. Eventually, I just ran out of time and lost the battle. And so, later I ended up being glad to take note of that PayPal had developed unique " shopping cart. Files lost but saved by … Firefox lol

I was there editing my own page and had not saved in a while when to the horror, Dreamweaver freezes or over comes the " The offer has performed a strong illegal operation problem box" and it quit taking an hour’s work with it. I was generally there thinking Oh no when i looked and noticed I still had the page open up previewed in Firefox thus I selected view source and message, pasted it to Dreamweaver that we had just opened in club penguin and saved related to 50 minutes on the work so I only lost TEN minutes of do the job. phew.. Nice catch, man. But now With regards to you’ve learned saving early and help you save often. And produce backups. In fact, the best piece of advice I’ve ever gotten in this problem is the one in The Down-to-earth Programmer: always use revision control.
