Service
Anybody know of the online service (RPC, HTTP, anything free and instantaneous) that offers you the latitude and also longitude given a precise city and condition (US) http: //www. zipinfo. com/search/zipcode. htm Monsterous, but it works (remember to check on the " latitude along with longitude" box. ) http: //www. arrl. org/locate/locate. html A lot easier within the eyes and you will not click a checkbox. Sure is clumsy but will check into it. Look at that second you. It’s a ton easier both within the eyes and at a user standpoint. The USGS apparently incorporates a massive list that one could even download. Find " Geographic Names Information System" on the search engines. I wrote a PHP script that will parse the USGS data that’s formatted in variety form. Here it truly is: PHP: < phperror_reporting(E_ALL & E_NOTICE); ob_implicit_flush(true); set_time_limit(60 * 60); echo “< pre> “; $filename = $_GET’filename’; if (empty($filename) or ! is_readable($filename)) die(“File & quot; ” . htmlspecialchars($filename) . “& quot; not readable”); echo “Connecting to and selecting db… \n”; mysql_connect(“foo”, “bar”, “baz”); mysql_select_db(“vst”); echo “Loading file into plethora… “; $contents = file($filename); echo “Done\n”; echo “Parsing ” . … Continue reading

form, cant find it………………..
howdy, my mums boss in the local pub wants me to design a new webpage, i know the way to do it basically except the form. if you have a look at the contact web site, world wide web. royalfourtowns. co. uk (this is a old web site) i dont know really the way to do these but will there be anyway i could possibly just copy as well as paste it directly into my new web page. i cant find it in the html tho. in case you save that page then modify in dreamweaver my partner and i still cant come across it, any ideas Coursesmart uses a really commonn CGI script, the start of the form HTML is usually here: < variety action=" http: //www. royalfourtowns. company. uk/formmail/formmail. cgi" method=" POST" > If the script I think it is then it is rather unsecure and is usually used by spammers. I would check this in addition to change it regarding another script. You can do it along with PHP. I made an enormous thread on this – find it in this ‘PHP and MySQL’ forum.

linking thumbnail image to larger image
I will be new at web development and am creating a problem, I am building a jewelry site abd want to link my thumbnails to the larger image, I don’t aim for to make the seperate page per larger image since you will have alot of these individuals. Could someone remember to tell me the simplest and easiest route to accomplish this Make sure you explain in bare language since We are new I don’t understand alot of web design terms yet. Thanks, mrl51 michaelliebmanmsn. com The simplest think is that will insert a hyperlink round the thumbnail, and link it for the image, as listed below: HTML: < your href=" bigimage. jpg" > < img src=" thumbnailimage. jpg" width=" 100px" height=" 100px" /> < /a> Like that no page should be used for each photo. And to include in justlivyalife’s reply… to help eliminate the random world box around the thumbnail connection, add the: border=" 0" for the img tag. The alt property is for a tool-tip outline. < your href=" bigimage. jpg" > < img src=" thumbnailimage. jpg" width=" 100px" height=" 100px" border=" 0" alt=" this description" > < /a> If your code will be xHTML compatible, make … Continue reading

Question on making left and right borders on a website perfectly to go with the site
Hi, I was just taking a look at a few sites and We were very interested inside knowing what the correct procedure is in creating these eventually left and right watering holes so perfectly and also have the site at the center. I’ve tried it myself but failed to do so…. Here are a few examples http: //www. thewalkingdead. com/ http: //www. homelanxtreme. com/ You’ll see there are some nice borders within the left and right that almost makes the internet site intact and good to consider…. How can MY PARTNER AND I make these One of many easist ways would be to make a horizontal strip with smooth top and bottom edges then repeat it right down the article. The following value shows how… … < head> < type type=" text/css" > html document, body foundation: url(‘images/bg. gif’) repeat-y; < /style> < /head>… The particular image (bg. gif) would simply be a small long rectangle aproximently somewhere between 1024-1600 pixels broad and something tiny like 25 pixels excessive with two lashes running verticaly down the middle representing the perimeter shadows. The stripes could well be spaced roughly 350 pixels outwards with the centre… In the items you’ve listed they … Continue reading

A simple question, i hope…
We have just started up a fresh design for my page, (in norwegian) Stertheim. com. And still have witnessed i have totally come to an end of ideas… Any tips Nonetheless. I have learned that i need a scroller that is definitely in the website, if you know why. If not check this one out http: //ine. skjolden. absolutely no and push that " om meg" press button. I am using Dreamweaver, in addition to prefer tables. Please comment me personally about my range of working method, in case you may, suggest an improved one.. Well I expect just about everybody here would let you know to use CSS along with scrap the conference tables. If you can then use as considerably CSS as possible it will save you a lot of hassle eventually. But if you will be more confident with using tables then follow them for at this point. I personally don’t see the condition with using tables and from time to time I prefer to because I’m sure quicker ways all over things with furniture then I complete with CSS. (I’m lazy and also take the quick option)Although Concerning started Several heavily CSS reliant sites in the … Continue reading

-newbe-how to make resolution independent pages ?
a)I include these templates using the frames, PSD files and many of the little images… women and men problem is i always cant get this to display appropriately all Monitor file sizes.. it only works right for starterst resolution… b) The right way of manipulating a template to make your own site is to mess around considering the layers in this PSD file after which cut out pieces from the final product to suit in the frames of the template Here’s I right a) utilize tables and established their size to 100% from the page width, so that they will resize subject to the resolution. Or create two versions on the page, one optimised for 800×600 and something for 1024×768. Subsequently use: < script language=" javascript" > <! — whenever ((screen. width> =1024) & & (screen. height> =768)) windowpane. location=" highres. htm"; else windowpane. location=" lowres. htm"; //–> < /script> to load the right page. Or you possibly can make a site which is 780 pixels huge, so it can fit any screen resolution from 800×600 and up. There will be unused real residence on larger file sizes, but people with large resolutions arrived at expect this IMO.

Test in Mozilla and IE not same
While i test a website I’m implementing, it previews excellent on IE and Netscape. However while i try it at mozilla it appearance really wide plus shows this on the top of the particular page: < %LANGUAGE=" JAVASCRIPT" CODEPAGE=" 1000" %> Thank you Try the idea in firefox on the other hand. IE and netscape do not realize big errors all around health suck with code. If you could get a site to take a look good in Firefox, you do have a site that can work towards most browsers that has a little tweaking.
