How can i test my work on mac ?

Im setting up a webpage that have got to work on together Mac and Pc. The problem is that my partner and i only got a Pc to check my pages on. I’ve searched the net without success. I’ve even tried mac emulators but that would not solve my difficulty, because the mac emulators at this time only emulate 680×0 processors which gives me tops a System 6-7 using Netscape 3. Has anyone got a preview how i could solve this program without bying any Mac Bet way I could tell you is usually find somebody which has a mac(OSX 10. 2+) and make friends.. I deal with both so its not a problem for me, I might not trust emulators, and It would be senseless to buy a new(ish) mac limited to testing your internet site.

New design…

I’m designing a brand new layout for the webdesign site, this is a pic of what I have so far: http: //www. crystalwizard. net/concept. jpg It’s suposed to seem like a moded IE windowpane, but I here’s having trouble getting a number of the graphics to look realistic. Does anyone have got any advice about technics or lighting Possible use to allow it to become look better Every oppinions on that so far Thank you well first off Xp would be a better choice of OS to work with imo and for the lighting I would not add the particular lighting affect but i truly dont know complete idea behind the planning loks iffy but thats jmo Yep I agree, XP/Mac OSX shows ‘cutting edge’ and looks far more sexy, but even similar to the default NT scheme may be more easily related to by businesses. It’s my realizing a client is more prone to care about your surface value of the web site plus how it features them; in short they couldn’t give you a hoot what technologies/tools get. After all your the internet designer, not the client how much would they understand White wine on black is usually … Continue reading

Help me please

I want to get illustrator, psp, etc but im uncertain what to access make designs, animations, etc we have a mac osx as well as i dont find out which application matches the mac might someone please support me and we are a begginer in website design. thank you Well for someone starting out, I think make sure you take a web design class somewhere. Most community colleges offer courses at an inexpensive price. If you happen to be just wanting the " self-taught" approach, then buying an excellent book on html would be a start. All you’ll need to write html can be a basic text publisher application. I recommend you as a minimum start there, in case your interest gathers, then you can start to try out the applications plus various programming languages web designers use: Photoshop, Adobe flash, CSS, Javascript. I know of an html tutorial found here that can give you some ideas: https: //www. aitcom. net/tutorials. phpwebdesign-forum i suggest gonna online tutorials. they’re free and they’re a lot more detailed than ebooks. don’t rely on one tutorial. search for much more, then you can easily expand your knowledge further. a good tutorial can be www. … Continue reading

First post: Charset issue – suspected server problem affecting web pages

About my server (run because of the wonderful folk with Media Temple) that will serves my web page Pixelsurgeon (which is currently undergoing a redesign) the DefaultCharset in the primary httpd. conf is actually ISO-8859-1, but I’m wondering if it needs to be set to UTF-8. For illustration of the condition check out bug #4 here: http: //dropbox. pixelsurgeon. com/bugs/ which is an XHTML page set to UTF-8. There are a few double-byte characters (Japanese, China, Korean) and several accented characters and several Polish. Instead connected with displaying correctly, which jointly do using UTF-8, they manifest as gibberish. HOWEVER – in the event you MANUALLY set the particular Text Encoding to help UTF-8 (for example View > Textual content Encoding > UTF-8 in Firefox) everything snaps just how it should. It’s almost as if the text encoding fact < meta http-equiv=" content-type" content=" text/html; charset=utf-8" /> in the head is becoming ignored. Locally on my machine (Mac OSX which uses a version of UTF-8 for text encoding) everything is fine and also the page works precisely as it should. It just stops working when uploaded towards server. The most apparent thing I can think about is a mismatch somewhere between … Continue reading
