So I can code fine, but what about design?

MY PARTNER AND I guess I’m definitely not that creative people, or at minimum my innate creativity wasn’t fully realised just simply yet. Y’see, I will code a site not a problem. The problem arises with building a site look great. At the moment I have a new plain HTML page that has a small header. It’s simply a glossy black gradient having an outer glow, but I can’t visualize how to take it further. This happens a whole lot. The other issue is moving away from what I time period, ‘The CSS Look’: the theory that is angular, includes 1 pixel is bordered by around everything in addition to basic background shades, and generally seems like it’s been made by someone whom hasn’t really experimented. Pimp That Snack will be the prime example. Using other web pages for inspiration is hard because I don’t want a site to look too derivative connected with others. I don’t want something what a blatant copy regarding another popular site. Hence, I have the ambitions and my own ideas, but no skill for getting good results. I know I’m not alone who is such as this (or at least Lets hope so), but … Continue reading

Cloning websites

POST follow several freelance sites, to keep a watch on what is due to demand, what traits are developing, for example., and I are seeing an increasing variety of requests for cloned websites. I am also finding an alarming willingness around the part of " designers" to begin this work. It really is one thing in the event that someone wants you clone their web page (but, why), but by and large these people want clones of well-known professional sites (e-Bay, Amazon, for example. ) POST find this unethical, to say the smallest amount. Some say it really is silly to re-invent that wheel. I agree – you will find loads of open source resources available so we any longer ! hand-code everything from scratch each time. I have a start a pretty fine library of stuff Relating to found useful over time. I’m not dealing with that – I’m speaking about an exact duplicate – layout, colours, functionality, everything however the name and brand. Does anyone other than them here have an opinion on this Roughly 10 years back, a creator writing for — ClickZ, or Webmonkey — spotted a trend in web page design: Monkey See, Monkey Complete. … Continue reading

Interesting Video Commenting Widget

Had been on another community forum earlier and noticed this. Thought it was before pretty interesting hence I thought I might share. It’s a video clip commenting widget so that users to comment on video that you embedd against your website. I just opted for the beta, just waiting on the email to show me how to install. http: //www. scenechat. com Found an example / live demo on their weblog. Just in case you would like to see how the item works. http: //scenechat. com/blog/demo/ Appears like they still possess a few things to operate on, or actually it may not ready for our old version associated with firefox. Either way, still pretty hip IMO. Hopefully some of you can test it out. Legitimately, I got as far as the title bar of the page. I view " SEO" and I simply click off. It really is a cool instrument, but if it’s marketed that way… it probably isn’t really. Huh Code: < title> SceneChat Sociable Video Marketing Cultural Video Sharing SVM SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION Video Commenting Plugin< /title> Only an idiot would believe a video widget is associated with SEO… and of course, the majority involving SEOs are … Continue reading
