Images question
Hi there, I’ve a question within the images in a website.. YOU. Imagine you employ a page with one particular image of 400 KB from it, so 1x 500 kb. COUPLE OF. Imagine you have got another page along with 2 images associated with 200 kb, and so 2 x 100 kb. Which page shall load faster along with why I idea page 1 for the reason that users ”streaming” images is less: O: S With thanks. I would think it would be page number ONE PARTICULAR – the 400K graphic, because it would simply need one request on the browser to the server for the image. Page number TWO would require two requests on the browser to that server, one per image. Furthermore, bear in mind that a majority of fast connections (cable, DSL) have got an asymmetric bandwidth, using the upload being much slower approach download, so a lot more request are built, the slower the ultimate loading of the page is going to be. Thanks better half. I trust AlphaMare on this place. The more demands the server needs to make, the sluggish the page will probably load. If you happen to be concerned with the rate … Continue reading

Easy way to use multiple domains to host images for one website in dreamweaver CS3?
Hi there, I’m new. I came here because I’ve an issue plus searching google isn’t helping. On a website we have produced, some of your pages have about 50 graphics in each page but it means even that has a fast internet connection it takes 15+ seconds in order to load those web pages. Using the page speed add-in along with firebug it firmly suggests I pass on those images all-around to 2-4 additional domains, as the web sites will load with more speed if all these types of image files are certainly not all coming on the same domain. Appears easy enough. On the other hand, I don’t get any idea in dreamweaver cs3 easy methods to easily tell dreamweaver the files are distinct places Your thoughts on this is appreciated. You might want to type the address manually regardless of the, also if you wish to do that is known as a content offering network, there are companies that provide that services, but they’re expensive, so maybe you can test to do which with another domain you could have but you might want to point the files on the other address, and others to the unique location, so … Continue reading
increasing page speed
I desire to leverage browser caching to increase page speed. I’ve done some research with this and it seems like max-age and and last-modified are great choices, but I’m unclear on tips on how to determine which files I should implement as it. In general, I’m confused on tips on how to actually do that and what the particular code would mimic in my htaccess. I guess I’m looking to get some more explicit help or be shown some examples. Or maybe anyone can direct me to some lesson/tutorial on this than a novice like us can understand, we haven’t had any luck finding. Any help out of someone who knows more about max-age and last-modified which enable it to help tell me how to accomplish this would be drastically appreciated. http: //www. askapache. com/htaccess/apache-speed-last-modified. html code < — put on do you.
