iframe scrollbox
Hello! I need to design a scroll container contained within an iframe like image I’ve supplied. I need the scrolling for being fast and smooth and freed from a scrollbar, but the end user can scroll through clicking the vertical buttons. I’m confused that Flash will be the best option since We would like to update the particular headlines often. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions With thanks much! Search Google for specific things like: Javascript vertical text scroller AJAX subject material scrolling Javascript subject material scrolling vertical vertical content scrolling Bless you… I’ll try this.

Putting a scroll bar WITHIN the site
Is there an easy way of putting some sort of scroll bar inside a section of your site to enable you to have 2 copy: still left column = fixed length image right column = scroll bar to let for text being longer versus the image Employing CSS, define the dimensions of one’s < div> locations, and use: flood: auto; That will instantly display a scroll icon if it want to really standout one. I really recommend you find methods to display your content without scrollbar(s), but I realize in most cases, that’s not likely. Any time anyone add navigation that will makes people perform harder (like scrollbars), you will discover that users wouldn’t use them… they’ll most probably just leave your page. I know this could sound condescending, nonetheless assume every person is lazy. Design your web page so users need not think about whatever. Scrollbars require thinking and skill. Nonetheless, I’m about to complete a site the location where the customer wants to get minimal info plus a very clean layout … Continue reading →

What pixel width should I use for my site
Now i am curious to listen to responses here, a number of you are makers, some just gadget owners who search furiously. I’m debating getting someone to broaden my website (width with menu) by about 20px, possibly as much as 35px since it can be much thinner as compared with most fixed width websites. It utilizes a " 960 pixel" standard for design and style with 940px for the main content containers and 10px on each side regarding " gutters" for space and some other spillover of effects (like ribbons, and so forth. ) I had no idea until recently even what the " 960gs" grid technique was. I learned design by constructing websites and acquiring how good creative designers architect sites. I certainly sooo want to have the additional potential 30px and move to a 978 as well as 980 pixel thicker, which IMHO may be the widest any web site should go. I say " pertaining to mortals" because individuals with very high stop budgets can play around with increasing sidebars like Facebook (if you start your browser vast enough, you’ll find the sidebar and the idea disappears on scaled-down screens. ) Variable width simply isn’t going to … Continue reading →
