Site visitor alert – please help

This is my first post on this forum. I’ve a client who would like to get the automatic alert if someone hits their own site. I know you used to be able to download a freebee you choose to would install on your computer, and when someone visited it could pop up like messenger and notify you, and also say what number of. Help please! There are various free ones of which send an electronic mail only… using Perl or maybe PHP. Here’s one that sends an exact real-time alert… it can be pretty cheap. http: //www. top-security-software. com/visitor_notification_alert. html I are not aware of of any free ones which have real-time alerting. real time alerting could be insane anyway. Should the site gets popular whatsoever, it’ll instantly acquire annoying, not helpful. Thanks in your help mlseim. I will check it out. Wired – evident comment noted and mentioned above but that is the customers choice.

Hacked

Greetings everyone, I am confused if this is actually the correct forum to be able to stick this problem in, but getting older seem to squeeze into any other kind. Not long ago i began working with a website for a customer who decided on his own web host company. With all the websites I have done, I have for no reason had a ‘hack’ challenge. It seems this site has become a challenge child with hacking. I discussed it while using host, and they said this is most likely the hacker deciphering this FTP username/password. Relating to since changed the actual password to a little something entirely irrelevant — hence, hard determine – yet the site has been hacked into again. Could this be a dilemma with the host How do you protect your site Thank you.
