How to make a smart stretchy site?

I would really like to create a web site page layout that will fills the people monitor. What We’ve been working on is often a main table at 100% after which including tables within to feature the content. I’d prefer to cater in order to users using very low & high resolutions so My organization is having problems designing/coding the page structure and hiring problems like things to make stretchy. Any suggestions with a basic layout that makes most most people happy Fixed dimensions of like 790 by 600 will usually work with a lot of browsers 790 leaves a small amount of room for tailor made scrollbars.. I find that 760 works best typically..
