-$- Q about website with Multiple Subdomains

We’ve questions about making use of subdomains. I am in the process of making a website that uses a number of subdomains. I’m intending each subdomain to be their own, active world, with their own discussion boards as well as whatnot. To demonstrate, here are quite a few examples: birkenstock boston. mysite. com chicago. mysite. com sandiego. mysite. com nyc. mysite. com nyc. mysite. com/forums nyc. mysite. com/personals nyc. mysite. com/blah-blah-blah This is just like the way internet. Craigslist. org (the cities are about the right side) along with www. MatchMaker. com are designed. Subdomains seem well-suited for something on this nature, as instead of using subdirectories. Some questions We’ve (assuming using A HUNDRED subdomains): – Keeping this setup, each subdomain has basically the same home page (i. age. index. html) except location-specific details are different on each subdomain. I suppose that is accomplished by some sort of place holder like the " mail merge" operate in Microsoft Word of mouth. What is this process called – Find out how to globally change each of the index pages at the same time (such as adjusting the navigational header or body) – Will it be easy for each homepage to get … Continue reading

Looking for examples of one-page web sites w/ a tracker or counter

Concerning a random require. I’m looking for one among a good one-page web site that features a counter or a tracker. So basically an online site that is very simple and is probably tracking/counting something. I work for a non-profit around Chicago, and we’re wanting to get a web site up that simply tracks how many people who donate to a cause/campaign and what amount has been lifted. There would be a bit of info about your campaign and whatnot, but I’m sure keeping it to one page would always be ideal. But I’m seeking good examples of the. I know I’ve seen some types of like a " countdown" timer as well as something… but I’m curious about if there’s plus the a simple counter/tracker blog. And I’d not be designing or coding something. I merely have to uncover some examples that will send to your could-be designer. So any pretty talk might look at my head. I’m just seeking examples. A site counter… when a internet page is viewed or even refreshed is a piece of cake. But you should count donations and account for donation amounts. That’s totally different from a " web site or page counter". … Continue reading

Advice for someone who knows nothing, please…

Howdy. I’m Jorge, from Portugal, and I want an ecigs on the internet shop, which I’ll be doing to be a dropshipper (honest! ) which has a Chinese supplier. POST asked my son-in-law, advised him about Magento and whatnot, to build me the look, but since he or she doesn’t know PHP/MySQL they said he was gonna build the web site with Google Web sites (or maybe Programs, not sure, I don’t perhaps know if it makes a genuine diference), which he is doing, apparently quite effectively, according to the indications. If the guy can proceed from generally there on, good. In the event he can’t, I’ll have got to ask someone to increase a few capabilities. I’m a tad afraid he could possibly be having work intended for nothing. I have a few questions: a) Can we really add Paypal and also what else is actually Does Paypal have some shopping cart along with does it work efficiently If not, how regarded as a add a shopping cart b) From checkout, I’d like the customers and therefore choose between Offshore Registered Airmail and EMS plus the shipping costs depends according to your weight and desired destination. Is that possible … Continue reading
