WHEN I haven’t been doing lots of webdev work of late… so when this came time to help fire up fine ‘ol Dreamweaver, I realized it is completely incompatible using Vista!
So I’m looking at you folks to assist me out.
The things MY PARTNER AND I used Dreamweaver that I would prefer to see in my new alternative:
- The autocomplete program code editing feature
- Listing my own sites as projects
- Support for PHP code
- Cool buttons/shortcuts for my favourite tags — menu customizable in case possible
I never utilize WYSIWYG feature with Dreamweaver, or of any editor as an example. I code all my CSS in Style Master, so all I need is a reasonable HTML/PHP editor which will look after my own sites in neat little projects.
Just about any suggestions
Uncertain about customisable selections, but Eclipse caters with the other points.
As well, it has support for numerous diverse languages.

Would I acquire the PDT (former PHP IDE) Or can there be a Web development build that caters pertaining to HTML/PHP/etc
Yet another reason why MY SPOUSE AND I haven’t gone that Vista route still!
Dreamweaver 9 is effective perfectly fine to me on Vista. I really believe DW8 did too (the current version).
Once i develop PHP software I use Eclipse when using the PHP IDE wordpress plugin. There are likewise HTML/CSS/Javascript/etc. plugins available, but I discover that Dreamweaver has a greater code editor regarding HTML and CSS. Eclipse does the best job of PHP along with Javascript.
Woah, Dreamweaver ON THE LOOKOUT FOR!! Since when
Okay! I must of been sleeping beneath a rock within the past couple of several weeks / months. The particular Adobe CS3 suit looks awesome!
Filburt, where did you get a demo as well as beta of Dreamweaver
Now i’m a beta tester. I signed up maybe this past year, and a month or two after I signed up, I was asked to join.
" Adobe Dreamweaver CS3" can be nearly identical in order to DW8. The only thing I will tell they put in is more integration concerning other Adobe applications (not surprising given it is a first Adobe make of Dreamweaver) in addition to Ajax stuff. The particular Ajax might sound good, but similar to the rest of Dreamweaver, this encourages drag-and-drop and also WYSIWYG editing, therefore the final output will probably be unsemantic garbage.
DW8 works a goody on vista. been utilizing it in my new job but it good.
being successful notepad+ as a simpler option j.
