That is for a publishing service, so people is upload their flyers, article cards, business greeting cards, etc. from various sizes as much as 20 MB (generally). Your file formats include jpgs, png, tiffs, coming from photoshop, illustrator, writer, etc.

Uploading through your website is not really an option for files of the large size.
Upload quality is normally limited by settings to the server. Example: PHP default settings for just a form to upload is about 2mb. These settings cannot be changed unless you can download the server settings – basically your personal dedicated server.
FTP is really the only option would you like them to reside on the server space.
