I used to be wondering if just about any of you knew the way to setup an htaccess type security using a windows hosting unit.
it’s using Xitami to be a web server.
in addition to running XP
any ideas or help would be awsome.
So far as I know Apache will be only server which uses. htaccess… but I understand very little. the little that I understand is that it’s Really hard to do any sort of security on any windows machine as it’s just not made to work.. not to talk about it can’t always be done. what exactly searching to do while using htaccess Just password covered files/dirs
yea all I wish to accomplish is make a dir safer.
it doesnt ought to be unhackable.
