What’s bad taste should be to take someone else’s template construct y worked hours in… Remove their credit and put joining your downline on… Especially if they offer the template at no cost with explicit instructions of you should use for free provided that you leave their credits it is in place.
Doesn’t say a lot about you as a designer if you undertake that either… Essentially, doesn’t say a great deal about you to be a designer if you’re using peoples work, and wanting to take any credit as it. Possibly, if you manufactured some serious changes you could possibly say: implemented as well as Mod by:, but that’s about all you can really claim credit for anyway…

And again I have to say… If you claim to be a designer… Why would you like your name on someone else’s work.
They say imitation is a greatest form regarding flattery… But until used your designs hijacked along with claimed by laid back designers… It’s real easy to sit back and tell others to look at credit for something that may be not theirs.
Would that also apply for anyone who is building child themes or templates over WP Twentyeleven I’m in the center of that right now and would want to put my name on it although I don’t prefer to break any ethics codes to choose from. I definitely see where you’re coming from and I agree.
Undecided about the theme you’re referring to, but as long when you leave he authentic designers credits in place if they require that you…
I understand I’ve seen quite a few that say… Free to do with as you remember to… But the graphic designers credits are embedded inside the CSS file…
Individually, if I have and use anyone’s code, even your partial one, if they have any credits in the actual code, I keep it.
I haven’t employed anyone’s design templates in lots of, many years, but when i did, I left their credits influenced by their wishes.
Perhaps that’s just me…

I’ve since handed as well as back to the actual clients so MY SPOUSE AND I no longer have it. If I’m ever asked to perform any updates upon it I’ll correct the matter.
