I’m caught within a dilemma. I designed a website for a salon and it’s now commited to memory. However, the salon had his or her temporary site up while I had been designing the different one. Meanwhile, they decided to be charged a guy for Google search engine marketing on the short lived one. Now the domain name is on additional guy’s server. We would like to access it so I could replace the old website when using the new one.
Learn how to do this I don’t understand exactly how this works.
YOU. ) Is at this time there an FTP logon and password specific on the hosting space within the other guy’s server that we can use to take over the files via FTP and substitute the old files with the new files If you are, then I will need to ask him for this FTP and password
COUPLE OF. ) Or would that login plus password give me entry to his whole equipment (not just the salon website) In which case he would not give this information to me.
THREE OR MORE. ) I understand that I can purchase hosting space on another server after which have the website routed to that will server, but learn how to access those properties on the domain name
This is all very confusing to me since I are not aware of enough about the idea. All I’m familiar with is purchasing a domain name and server space together and using an FTP to manage the files. I’ve never transferred a domain name to another server. Nor do I realize where to visit to access the website name information.
Could someone please explain to me what I should do Thanks.
Google SEO on a well used site Not sure what you signify there.
Have the FTP host, Directory (if you will need it), Login, Password
Should the Salon owns the actual hosting space, they will be able to provide you on this info. If additional web guy work with the hosting area, then you may have to transfer the domain towards your host. Or the Beauty parlor can keep it there also , you can upload records there, but you will have to get the admittance info from him. Talk to additional web guy and he will probably help a person. He may often be storing multiple web pages with one levels, therefore you is not going to get access from him. I would contact him and yes it will probably distinct things up for you personally.
Is the domain hosted by a different guy Or could be the website hosted by simply another guy Two very different things.
I think that you ought to improve your verbal exchanges, seems idiotic the client has optimised a website they are updating. Are you sure they want to gain the site you will be making
Enjoying a is to ask you. I have looked at my crystal ball and yes it says ‘how your hell would MY SPOUSE AND I know’
Yeah, you just really need to ask these people and they can tell a person.
1. Yes, you can FTP on the server and upload the newest site.
COUPLE OF. No, it will only deal with the FTP account the site is on.
THREE OR MORE. You would need entry to their registrar (e. h. GoDaddy) account, or you would need to have them alter their DNS settings using registrar. The new host usually provides DNS info.
With thanks. Yeah I’ll just have to talk on the other web custom made. The salon people could not know what we were looking at doing when they optimized the short lived site. They also compensated the guy $700 to try and do so, and he didn’t even do a fantastic job (he’s employing black hat SEO which can get the web page penalized or punished on Google).
I also think he’s seeking to take my purchaser, though they’ve decided to never pay him another cent for anything on account of poor work and communication difficulty the guy (he’s been very hard to make contact with and very later with dead lines). I’ve got a book online SEO that I’ve been reading so I thinking about taking this complete matter into my hands.
With thanks again!
