An idea I had

I became thinking about just what exactly website that is just not out, but people want. I thought about it for quite a while, and after visiting a lot of forums, and it came in my opinion. I thought what happens if a website could pull a lot of the forums that you simply visit alot, then put all this on one web page.

I know I dont contain the skills to do this, but it something which i could work send to. This is how I believe that it is possible.

in order to read the forums, the website would read a lot of rss reads out of it
to write for the forums (posting topics and replies) it could send a lot of scripts that will log you around, go on this posting page with the topic you wish to post in, subsequently submit.

I think that this can be a untouched part from the web which could please take a huge adventage. I know that this is hard for many forum software, but if it would support atleast PhpBB as well as vB, then it’d cover a huge component to the forums. What don’t you guys think. Do you find it flawed, too challenging, near impossible. Or is the idea an idea that should be tried out. If it can be possible and this website gets the word out, then I think it may be the next myspace or flickr.

TEND NOT TO DO THIS!!!

Computerized posting is POOR.

1) can be used by spammers
2) software such as this exists, and is mostly hated by forum admins, as the paper prints can’t see the actual ads that support your website. You can’t adjust for all you possible ways of advertising to appear on a internet site.

If someone wants to have a look at several different boards, yes, RSS feeds are the best way… if their REALLY SIMPLY SYNDICATION feeds have part or all of the body of the brand new posts in the feed that is.

I thought this is a way to make life easier. what don’t you mean automated posting Getting older go on boards and automatically articles ads on every one of the forums that you on.

The thought is like Meebo, but with forums. This IMs have ads on them, women and men developers are making numerous money, and continuing for making better versions. I do not are convinced this should kill websites, and people may possibly still go directly on the website because involving other features for example admin power.

a lot of major companies dislike youtube, but many people still want to buy because it may be a useful program. This is precisely how I see this website would be. Just a usful tool the people use because them makes life simpilar.

Something I’ve used is a offline post composer — as if the forum composer eyeport was a separate app. PawSoft Fass is much like a specialized expression processor.

Regrettably, they didn’t take the thought far enough. Such as, a spellcheck fuction. Every single forum should have a very spellcheck — handful of do. Not using a spellcheck on the text driven iphone app… that has font, variety, and is.

So I think the general plan has some merit. FASS could be much more useful. However, I tend not to see an automatic post function while necessary. If you are not a spammer, you no longer need to post multiple message at some time.

This forum composer perform has several usability challenges. It wouldn’t be a negative thing to 1) find what users have difficulty 2) develop an instrument which helps these.

Issue is, that forums might get to 2007 without getting a decent spellcheck suggests something dysfunctional goes on in the manner things get made.

The best problem is people don’t do that. They build equipment for themselves — and then wonder why we have a total market of one with the technology. You aren’t market trends. And — provided you might be developing something for others to utilize — I strongly suggest developing this habit of brain that you usually are not the user.

you might be making it be understood as I am looking to make money with this. I am not trying to make money in any respect, it more for your pride of working with a successful website. In case you look at numerous open source jobs, it people who dont see any software which they arn’t satify with, so they made their unique.

Check out TextMate. The project leader made it because he missed software that meets his needs, so he built his own and released it on the public, and it really is now a big success.

Capital or free, open source as well as not — my point remains valid. That one in a single thousand apps turns into popular is the tribute to this developer following the advice, which is just not about money — It’s about design.

Or it attests the adage in which even a blind pig will discover a truffle sometimes.

I doubt the Textmate design was based on the project leader’s whims. If not actually, usability and good interface design system seeped in within the iterations. Second, developing for coders is much not the same as developing those of you that post to discussion boards.

My point is definitely far more those of you that in it for that money. When you’re in it for the dollars — you detect when nobody purchases your stuff. And some smarter or greedier persons actually change exactly what they’re doing…. On certain rare occasions it’s got given them reason obtain in user examining and feedback.

Having non technical consumers the usability with open source turns into more important.

The textmate example appeared to be used gives myself pause.

Automated posting just as the user is not entering in information, and not finding the forum itself. If a customer doesn’t see this page, they aren’t discovering the ads = less support with the site.
