need help with logo for site!
Greetings guys, here is usually a layout I’m taking care of. It’s just a screenshot thus far (it will always be centered, don’t get worried, lol) I’m set on the design (meaning this is what I’d like that will use). My problem is the logo. I’m just simply not feeling the item. What do you believe of it How do you think I could possibly improve it Thanks for every suggestions! http: //www. open-orbit. com/mock. png The left vertical aspect, underneath About, ought to be given a color, similar to the shade on the navigate at the bottom. Also the tabs on the top, make the links a bit darker, or ” up ” a px, because they blend into this page. Appears okay though, all the best .. funny… you need to aready know… " We determine what you’re looking for"…. That is what the " about us" statement affirms. Really though… The orange color is determining on my LCD monitor as more of a puke orange-red… as well as it’s hard to view the lines as bfsog stated. It could be cooler if this caterpillar was built up with pixels — and also the illusion associated with larger … Continue reading

Using Images instead of ugly Submit Buttons
This is simply not something new, it’s just anything I didn’t realize before and WE spent hours trying to figure out why my Perl script wasn’t working. Thus, this might aid others… and give someone tips to use an impression map with PHP or perhaps Perl, instead of with all the standard HTML impression mapping. I can’t explain it here without a real example of how my first try fails with IE… and how this 2nd example works together both browsers. This is the complete reason and example: http: //www. catpin. com/imagebutton. htm Maybe this is simply not really a " tutorial", but someone might find it useful. –max–.

A little help please….
I’m doing a career research task for school, and I need to complete a " interview" with a person (people ) which are already in the chosen field. As I are going to be working as a freelance web developer for just a year or a couple before I get my own ring business started, I was wondering if most of you could aid me out by answering a number of questions for me personally. I’d be fairly happy if many people could post info on: Expected income per year via freelance work The types of education you have/need for your work you do Your plans with the future (in website development or not) The things you like/dislike in regards to the job Your doing work environment (office/home, full-time/part-time/spare-time, etc) Anything else that you should say. Thanks very much for your help with that, as there’s almost no out there to get concrete information on web developers. PS– It is more than a little school project in my experience, it’s also my intended line of work after graduating. Any and all information which you guys give me helps, not only along with school, but with preparing for my foreseeable future … Continue reading

Is there a trick to blend a background tile seamlessly with a centered foreground?
This really is giving me a genuine problem. I’m fairly sure there isn’t a perfect solution but here’s the problem: Concerning a background image tiled, it’s around 250 x 250 pixels, and it really is of black in addition to blue clouds. The content with the page is displayed in the table, centered in addition to fixed width. The top end of this stand uses essentially the identical image as this background, though only around 120 pixels huge. My problem will be obvious line where the foreground tiled impression overlaps the background tile. Resizing the web site means this tier falls in different places as well as being posing a problem. Beware of any neat steps to solving the following one Thanks! Make that background the background of some bottle that holds that table and make the table tissues transparent (don’t identify a background).
Stretching jpegs to fit browser window
Hello, My organization is a musician, not only a web-designer. I recently used a web-designer that will put a site together. One of the particular requests I made was that the jpegs I cropped for your 17" screen with a 1024 resolution ‘stretch’ to suit into a 16 to 19" inch screen, much like it is possible to stretch an photograph in windows to suit your desktop. I will not care about pixelization. I experimented with the images employing a simple ‘zoom in’ as well as ‘zoom out’ software. Yes, there has been pixelization, but, the feel belonging to the image didn’t modify. I was ok by it. The designer provided me with one among an image this stretched very nicely in Firefox. However, but there’s more stretch vertically around IE. And I don’t know how it looks for a Mac platform. The designer said ?t had been a simple little bit of javascript he used for that Firefox. Does anyone know of any workaround. I want large jpegs ( averaging 70k ) that will stretch horizontally and vertically to suit 15 to 19" privacy screens in I. AGE., Firefox, and with a Mac platform. Bless you. http: //www. webdesignforums. … Continue reading

MY PARTNER AND I can’t seem pinpoint what is not often known. I’ve the same flash game on two different pages, using the identical files submitted to my seperate hosting accouts (both considering the same hosting site), and something doesn’t work. I’ve scanned the files on the account of the particular working page and can’t see any kind of extra files it’s that the some other one doesn’t. I also examined the object code to ensure it’s referencing the proper. swf file address in fact it is. I’ve also re-uploaded the files several times and maybe they are uploading fully. Meanwhile all of the other flash online games I’ve uploaded work. I’m totally stumped. Anyone good along with flash games can tell me what else trend for Recommendations the offending page: update; link removed Important: When you find the page, you must press " Start out Game" before that flash will malfunction. Are you certain the 2 pages you are referring to is the same Maybe some variables are being posted to the particular swf file inside HTML on one but not the other. In case you got this video game off another site and wouldn’t develop it oneself it … Continue reading

Website Design – Do’s and Dont’s
In this artcle I are going to be trying to share with you some of the things which you need to avoid while having a website. This article will help you make your site viewer friendly and as well as search powerplant friendly. Read all of them carefully: 1. Avoid the using flash for routing or content, or anything you would like search engines to be able to spider. The serps are not efficient at decompiling your text 2. Avoid the apply red & cyan, green & blue, green & magenta, and so forth color combinations… they may be painful on the particular eyes. If you employ these nobody will read your text and probably do be leave your internet site from the 1st page. A FEW. Avoid making your forum site. Instead join among the list of 1, 000, 000, 000 other ones that currently do. what a person wanna do. Will probably be very hard for you to optimize it. Unless you’ve gotten a brilliant strategy regarding a forum do it now. FIVE. Avoid making your blog. You’re on your own who will understand it. And may perhaps be 2-3 more. The prime make use of blogs is … Continue reading
