The next search brings way up two results: that topic, and this thread(started by filburt1) which usually describes the deal with.

Not only will it be a violation regarding common privacy to supply out " the guy’s" (mine) e-mail correct, but it may nothing to profit the community by simply solving your challenge offline. Also, please note this forum rule that requests you use proper punctuational and grammar although posting.

My personal solution was in order to reformat anyway. By simply sheer coincidence, DW ended up being crashing like ridiculous on me not long ago and my exclusively solution was that will reformat again. Rather annoying.

I ran into this not too long ago when my replicate of Photoimpact probably would not load, and MY SPOUSE AND I found this resolution on another community.

The issue is apparently a corrupted or evolved registry key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/MIME/Database/Charset

I went to my laptop (running similar OS, Win98SE), exported the registry key to your floppy, then imported it into the desktop. Photoimpact exposed fine.

One member mentioned he simply deleted the crucial, and although this error message nevertheless appeared, his plan loaded and played. I wouldn’t try out that without assistance up the registry primary.

Anticipation this helps,
JT

Offhand info… Xerces is a great Apache project — it’s an XML parser.

A guess – it’s probably getting used by Dreamweaver pertaining to XHTML validation.

The issues you guys are seeing are most likely due to a great Interface (API) modify between Xerces choices.

I’m guessing that Dreamweaver was built with an older variant of Xerces that includes a different interface than the latest version in existence.

It depends that you males have downloaded or installed a later version that is certainly overriding the older implementation.

You may want to search regarding Xalan, WebServices, SOAP, or other Apache projects on your hard disk, too, as they can be packaged with a new Xerces implementation.

SIMPLE FIX TO THE PRESENT. DO NOT MESS AROUND WHILE USING REGISTER FILES UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOU MIGHT BE DELETING. THE BEST SOLUTION TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE IS TO GETTING A REGISTRY FIXING SOFTWARE. I HIGHLY ADVOCATE REGISTRY REPAIR 2006. THE ITEM OF WHICH CORRUPTS THIS TRACK IS UNDER THE PARTICULAR HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/MIME/Database/Charset. There are a minimum of 15 of exactly the same files in your registry under that name. I DONT RECOMEND TO BE ABLE TO DELETE IT BY HAND. THERE IS NO NEED TO REFORMAT, AND THERE’S NO NEED TO REENSTALL THE APPLYING.

EMPLOY A NICE DAY EVERYONE

This repair helps really! MY SPOUSE AND I ran Registry Mend 2005 and Dreamweaver was up again! Many thanks!

Sadly I didn’t save the Registry ahead of. Having the old Registry in place would be a good testscenario pertaining to different registry repair/clean upwards tools. I will be very interested inside answer of the question if Registry Mechanic can be done the job in the process Does anybody know

Take care, Michael

Greetings folks!

Its clear that perhaps our Forum Get good at had the Xerces trouble. Well, as he failed to want to build a special section on Installation and O. S. problems, i will folow up THIS thread.

Certainly the fix to the problem is NOT REALLY reformating.

That is just as solving a building quarrel by breakup!!!!: chinese:

Obviously, it seems the suspect to the CAUSE, (which is obviously important to understand) is usually a possible Anti-Virus application running to " look for register errors": mustache:

Without doubt, Norton System Works CAN in some instances affect register entries in a (lets be gentle) " not good way".

Mostly, the error is attributable to alteration of quite a few MIME entries, pointing to character sets employed by transcoders. Fixing this is not a trivial job, as you can make more havock and also possibly kill your machine using the fix trial. One of the best suggestion is working the software " Sign up Repair 2005", as posted in such a thread.

Appears, the Xerces error means your computer is NOT 100% healthy as well as a good register check will normally, fix the Cerxes miscalculation, and others lurking inside. (Mine had 1480 errors!!! )

It’s the time to report this particular trouble to Symantec and ask them for the cure into SystemWorks. Relating to not heard regarding other " antiviral" systems doing similar.

Also take into account: Antivirus software will be, with no clarifications, another form associated with virus, sold commercially that will us but it lets you do have secondary results.

Salud!

my PC failed to had any AntiVirus Computer software installed.

FINE. Certainly not a program that verification and " repairs" theregistry can establish the problem.

There are many incredible minor changes ( a straightforward character, sometimes) you can apply to the registry, competent at even stopping the pc totally and irreversibly.

VIRTUALLY ANY program can admittance the registry options and introduce harmful keys or modifications. Most of the following intruders come disappearing in " search bars", utitlities, " no cost offers and trials" and is usually implanted by popup dialogs suggesting you accept something to be executed.

We can see your weeknesses when admitting " acquiring NO antivirus installed"… Can you see the contradiction

The Xerces problem has to do with CSS coding in a great many WEB creation courses.

Yet… If
