How do I get started?

I am thinking about starting a web site for the business I improve. I am unsure what step one is. I would like to create a web site that allows customers to acquire items online. I want fancy features for example flash, paypal, for example. I have also been looking up several things online. I was asking yourself if anyone experienced any opinions on where to start or thoughts in relation to online training. Also, my employer bought dreamweaver 8 recently to get points started on our personal, but the application seems overwhelming, any thoughts

For a web based shopping cart process, you would be looking at an existing
PHP/MySQL script for example, CubeCart, oscommerce, X-Cart… something like those.

They have the many scripting done, and handle the many gateways (including PayPal).

Afterward you need to tailor-make the script (with " themes" or maybe " skins" )… which is where a
knowledge of PHP, CSS, HTML PAGE comes into perform. If they already have a website without
any shopping cart, i want to know that far too.

Google has the most beneficial " online training" you may see. Searching such because:
PHP searching cart tutorial, PHP INFORMATION AND FACTS, free CSS templates

I use Notepad and do the many coding by side. Also find totally free CSS templates to
help make the layout part quick… with a customization.

The PHP part does take the time to learn… (it’s any programming language).

Dreamweaver is not overwhelming. It may seem doing this without a guide or tutorial.
My advice is to visit the bookstore and purchase a Dreamweaver book. You will discover dozens of these people.

Look at the ones this fit your skill, project, and what you can look at and think you possibly can learn from. That’s the reason there are a wide variety of books.
Some of the books will let you know how to incoporate flash in to the design.

In the western world the paypal, just established an account in paypal after which you can you can incorporate the payment characteristics (or what you want) in the website very easily.

Don’t let the totality in the whole project overwhelm everyone. Take it a piece at a time. First get that book, then start learning this program, then add the features you desire.

All the best…….
