I’m designing a brand new layout for the webdesign site, this is a pic of what I have so far:

It’s suposed to seem like a moded IE windowpane, but I here’s having trouble getting a number of the graphics to look realistic. Does anyone have got any advice about technics or lighting Possible use to allow it to become look better Every oppinions on that so far

well first off Xp would be a better choice of OS to work with imo and for the lighting I would not add the particular lighting affect but i truly dont know complete idea behind the planning loks iffy but thats jmo
Yep I agree, XP/Mac OSX shows ‘cutting edge’ and looks far more sexy, but even similar to the default NT scheme may be more easily related to by businesses.
It’s my realizing a client is more prone to care about your surface value of the web site plus how it features them; in short they couldn’t give you a hoot what technologies/tools get. After all your the internet designer, not the client how much would they understand
White wine on black is usually murder to learn, consider switching it to black about white as I doubt it would drasticaly change the impact of the page. What’s while using odd 5 pixel indent about paragraphs
Wise course of action, I haven’t employed the default xp theme for such a long time I forgot it existed, i’ll switch it from the final version.
The indent had been just weird cause We were using paint with regard to text, and it kinda sucks correctly.
I might add a second window for that text, then it could be black on white.

Effectively, I took quite a few advice, added A FEW hours, and suggestions what I received. I really do just like the XP look alot better and gone for an general cleaner look as a result of it.

I changed that background color of the site to white wine but I’m however really unsure where to start, both with site colors as well as the background. Any ideas

For the reason for your layout I had remove the no standard skinning, to what people fully understand.
