Organization and Visual Help.

Hey men, so here could be the deal. I’ve had the website for almost a year now. When i relocated away for college i types of neglected it, but ever since i’m back house, i’ve got plenty of time to put on it. Originally, pondered a friend layout my layout to do (mostly because i had been lazy). My website is good for tutorials on steps to make sims 2 mods. I’ve still got plenty of content to placed, but I relatively wait until the better organized.

So here come the issues. I personally don’t like the current design. I was pondering something bigger, in addition to a small page going down the middle of the browser. I think she made the room so small, and also the fonts. I had a survey a time back and lots of people said that it turned out difficult to find things. Now, I strive to be the one to design my own web page. I know ample XHTML and CSS for you to hand code it myself, but i just dont know how i’d like it to seem! It’s frustrating for the reason that i’ve had 2 years of graphic design teaching, and when its for another person i can imagine tons of ideas. Then, when i’d like to see to design possibly a logo intended for my site, i just dont know how to proceed. I know somewhat how i’d like to see it to seem, and what vibe i want to give the viewers.. but i just cant put that to paper (or photoshop in this case). I’ve made so many sketches, but i’ve thrown all of these books away.
POST don’t want everything fancy, something clear, simple and thats the idea.

I want the website for you to load alot faster so we were wondering which report extension would function better. I personally like PNG much better than GIF, but is PNG also supported by surfers as GIF

So then, it provides me to this next dilemma. I wan’t to stay everything as organized as is usually. I was asking yourself if XHTML was ideal, or if there was a way. In the near future i’m going that can put up mods that i’ve created people to get a hold of. So.. hmm.

Gah! When this individual made my web page she threw everything inside public_html folder and it ticks me off since it looks so un structured. I’m every OCD about organization. So i used to be thinking, is there methods to organize things along with in my public_html folder

So thanks alot earlier. Help!

There’s a sensation that’s been discussed for this forum in the past. It has to do with
a web designer that never likes his or her site. No make a difference what design everyone pick,
that graphics, the structure, it never looks right so you don’t like the idea.

We don’t learn if it has to do with knowing how as well as works, or shelling out a lot
of your energy on it, but you’ll never like your own site, but other people will.

Search for other posts for this subject. It’s pretty interesting.

If you undertake a full thicker one, then those that have smaller resolutions will find it hard to be able to veiw (will keep having to scroll left and right to see it) if that concerns you in any respect.
Nonetheless, it could be a great deal bigger – allow it to be 820px wide. At this time it looks merely about 700 – 750 px huge, so it is actually a bit bigger although still accomodating the res problem.

It happens to most of us, and sometimes I have to stand up in addition to shout to myself that this website will have nowhere if the item never gets beyond the visualization period. It’s closely based on the second syndrome where we look from other people’s sites and in addition they look dazzling, but despite how hard we endeavor to mimic their design, we never feel up to scratch. This has to do with the fact that we’ve got a forgiving method… And we can always undo material. Remember when we were younger, halfway through creating a drawing, then scrapped it because component to it went erroneous But sometimes we don’t throw it away, because we imagine it’s hard to receive this far at any rate. This doesn’t apply to computer-based design, so the phenomenon.

Another phenomenon is that we tend to very easily spot weaknesses as well as problems for criticizing various other people’s sites, but never do a similar treatment for our very own sites. It’s rather harder to recognize… But if you spend time thinking about how to drill holes in other people’s websites, you’ll eventually realize you can pick out a large number of problems, and never check out our own internet sites…

And also the fourth phenomenon is again in connection with all the others – that soon after we do make a real site (and this particular happens often following a 3rd phenomenon happens) we locate a flaw or new design in your site, and choose redo the site from beginning once more.

That last one has to do with the fact in which we’re perpetually thinking about making our designs expandable plus flexible. It often happens at times if you think " definitely, what if POST made my site use this But it would have a redesign… But a redesign really can’t be that hard, can certainly it" and then you do it. This can be most common when you find yourself learning new tactics… My major experience within this one was once i learned the secret of JS your local library…

And cultural heritage, geographic spot, and nationality help to make no difference.
Whether or not in Minnesota and also Jakarta, we all proceed through the same matter.

I believe that’s interesting as well.

Yeah it really is interesting. You’d think it’d be easier reside know what you desire, but it under no circumstances looks as great as i’d like to see it to end up being.
So, far i think i’m near to being done which includes a design that im pleased with (atleast for now) hence i’m happy.
