Art Gallery questions

Hi. I’m currently trying to build a web-site for an artist I know. I have made a php script that may insert the thumbnails on auto-pilot by reading them out of particular folders, so all that is required is to breakup with more pics within the folders, it succeeds fine. A couple questions: A SINGLE: Each one pic is surrounded by an < a> tag considering the href being something like " large_pics/". $file. ". php" so each picture automatically points towards the php page with the large version of the pic on the item. Hosting in my opinion is just yet another potential problem. Its very hard to compete along with existing hosting corporations for price and its not really worth the time you put in it. I offer advice what is the right hosting firms will be good/bad, i was and perhaps … Continue reading →

Please visit this great site called last. fm allowing it to anyone tell me just how do they create this particular colapsing menu model which expands and collapses along at the click of a button. You have to be specific. What part of the site will you be talking about Brand new looked at the code in the site, and/or googled them They’re normally called " accordions" might usually need your JS library (like prototype or mootools) for making. They’re not a part of HTML, they utilize JS (mostly). It’s often difficult to create appropriate degradability for these individuals (for browsers along with JS off).

Homepages?

Posted on September 20, 2012 by admin702 views

Wasn’t sure where for you to post this and so I figured here will be it. Wanted your tips and feedback on tips on how to layout or exhibit home pages, (the listing page that is) I’ve always prefered quite a few information/text of some sort on the home page in regards to the site or announcement or something similar, I client i am designing for has called for just an impression and basically the particular title. I’ll happily accomplish that if they wish that but was wondering on your thoughts, do you like an Enter site (as thats approximately all it is) or does one prefer to have some text/info once you enter sites i usually open onto a brand new page, in the exact same layout of the rest of the site, but displaying news, it stops the actual visitors from required to search around for a little bit looking for changes. if i had to have an external(ish) opening page with a website (also generally known as a splash screen) i’d have something similar to the one at http: //www. bwoup. com/ because its a little bit interesting! Entry pages are an effective way to stop visitors … Continue reading →

streaming NOT downloading

Posted on September 20, 2012 by admin652 views

Howdy, We have a few clips in my site which might be currently embedded with pages on my side. At present people can check out the source rule, find the website and download your files. I don’t wish this to happen so it is possible to best way to halt this Embed around flash or some thing else I’ve seen a niche site that has every thing in php I’m confused how they have done that. I focus on a site in which we stream audio through a Flash player which runs off a great XML file. Net the paths towards audio people have got to dig a very little, but then once again… everything is designed for download any ways… how term I do that I understand that peole might download anything in the web but I would prefer then to obtain to dig to the links and not have access to them directly showing inside the source files. Embedding in Flash will be the easiest, plus the benefit of not wanting the bulky plus proprietary WMP or perhaps QT plugins. We utilize the webplayer by WebMinster.

Someone told me it is good to design websites with the help of Visual Studio to generate your sites appearance professional and should you be seriouslly into webdesigning you need to get MCAD. We would like your advice is that this true and what regarded as a learn to make professional websites. packages are all nicely and good, but cant really replace CSS and (x)HTML, as so often is the case, simple is best. just check out what current skilled website designers are doing and try to emulate this, this is probably the easiest way to learn what goes and precisely what doesnt. MCAD Image Studio Eh Visual Studio would likely only be used in case you wanted to create ASP. NET sites — which can be not entirely extremely hard. There are, on the other hand, other server-side engineering, such as PHP, usual ASP, Ruby on Rails, Perl, and others. By the end of the time, I have yet … Continue reading →
