Quick question about FTP

issues I never seriously knew, just seeking some basic facts, i searched although didnt’ really find what I got looking for…

what exactly is ASC II option for using a ftp client a faster way to upload text files

what exactly is Binary option for using a ftp client more rapidly way for many files

and might someone explain passive mode for me

also any other bits of info about FTP, that is likely to be useful to myself, please state the idea too..
just learning about a thing i never seriously questioned

Passive vs Energetic mode has related to " listening" using a second port. Sometimes it can get filtered away by network firewalls and also stuff, so they came across the other function. I don’t remember that’s which, but this explained it in my experience back when MY PARTNER AND I cared:

I’m sure ASCII is for text files and the rest is sent because Binary (e. gary. images). I dont’ think there exists a speed advantage… Google it if you can’t know, or wiki:
