I am just using Dreamweaver to generate my site and Relating to 2 frames. One the best and one around the bottom. I’ve never employed frames before and I’m uncertain what I’m accomplishing. For starters I’m not even sure how in order to load my site backup in dreamweaver together with all frames intact. I can only load one at any given time, then have to add the frames, then load each page into your proper frame. Anyone learn how to get the whole thing to insert at once
Since I can’t obtain it to load all at the same time in dreamweaver, how am I going to get it to load like that on my site Do i name one of many pages index. html document… I’m totally confused.
One page will probably contain the linking info with the other frames.
< html> < head> < title> Untitled Document< /title> < /head> < frameset rows=" 60, *" frameborder=" NO" border=" 0" framespacing=" 0" > < shape src=" header. html" name=" topFrame" scrolling=" NO" noresize > < shape src=" main. html" name=" mainFrame" > < /frameset> < /html>
Just help you save that as index. html. header. html are going to be a seperate file, which will possibly be the header page, and main. html could be the main page. When you open index. html document in dreamweaver, it should auto-load the others into it. If you are viewing a web site from within dreamweaver inside Show Design Perspective, and you click on a frame, that frame could be the only one you can see the code of inside the Show Code See.
The sole way to observe the code with the index file can be when opening the particular file initially, or when with Show Design View and you’ve already clicked on one of many frames, if you click on the edge with the page, it should select the catalog file.
Now it’s wise. Thanks alot with the help!
simply no problemo!
avoid using frames, lots of browsers and devices dont support them.
Just out of curiosity. How would I attempt doing something like that: http: //www. arklinux. org/
There is very much 3 frames related I tried considering the source although I can’t make much away from it. I havent done html manually , since ’96. I need to start relearning all again. Things include changed to considerably.
That URL would not use frames… except for the Inline Frame when using the scrollbar at the heart.
The other page is produced using DIVs

Where have you heard many browsers don’t service frames Personally I haven’t been aware of a browser that does not support frames.
You’d should be looking at IE2 or maybe Netscape 1 I’m sure to find simply no frames support….
Doubt there’s a lot of people using such old browsers right now… inline frames may be an issue when they did not look outside IE until finally Netscape 6 and they are also absent through some minority surfers (eg. Lynx)
Thus, I do not wish frames myself…. I really believe they create far more problems than they solve.
