Custom 404 using .htaccess not working – can anyone help?

Hello there everyone basically i followed a quick custom 404 course that told me to include in my htaccess file after which make a. php page such as the rest of my own. php site websites for my customized 404 page, along with save it seeing that notfound. php It worked for a while, but not any more and I dont learn why..
