web statistics

Hi! can anyone propose any free good web counter/statistics it does not put any ad on your own site thanks Webalizer, AWStats for log analyzers. WHEN I reccomend bbclone. tuxfamily. org for your free php just one. thank you for you personally reply but I don’t believe I would learn how to put these kind of stats on my personal site, I was considering something simpler www. statcounter. com – filled with statistic of who seem to, when, where and the best way people see your internet site. — have chart powerpoint presentation, easy to view. ** these have " invisible" alternative. No banner. Examine this out: http: //www. ekstreme. com/phplabs/phpcounter. php The writer is a representative here. It uses php and creates to text files, and it’s easily to install. I do it, works pretty well with luck. Thank everyone!

Reading stats in AWstats

I was going through my stats affected person, as you can. I was investigating one of my favourite sections the actual " Connect to help site from". We were looking at the stats and one thing I cant come up with (and yes We have RTFM but didn’t find any benchmark to it) seemed to be what the TWO sets of numbers close to each URI suggest. For example: Can anyone enlighten me about what the numbers mean This really is bothering me. Webpages / Hits I have no idea how AWStats separates hits/pages, though. Ah hah! Cheers Brak. From the AWstats page: http: //awstats. sourceforge. net/docs/awstats_glossary. html Webpages: The amount of " pages" logged. Only files in which don’t match an entry from the NotPageList config parameter (and fit an entry connected with OnlyFiles config parameter if used) are measured as " Pages". Ordinarily pages are set-aside for HTML information or CGI data, not images nor other files requested due to loading a " Page" (like js, css… files). Hits: Any files requested from the server (including files that happen to be " Pages" ) except the ones that match the SkipFiles config parameter. How can we really have … Continue reading

Still design with Internet Explorer 5/5.5 in mind?

I’ve noticed plenty of my sites look like pretty garbled upward when it’s seen using ie5/5. 5… Anything, else and they also all work fine. According to w3schools merely about 4% with poeple still employ ie5. http: //www. w3schools. com/browsers/browsers_stats. asp So… Do you design/code with ie5 as their intended purpose, or is the item a lost cause Many thanks! Nope. IE6 is actually my baseline, in the event I’m targetting IE (I usually am, though ) POST ignore it. IE WDF cell phone browser breakdown for August 2006 (although not necessarily truly representative of your general population because designers will use alternative surfers and AWstats grossly underrepresents many stats, including hits): wow, that copied terribly. Summary: IE 6TH, 40. 8%, IE SEVERAL, 3. 8%, all others less than 1%. Overall: IE 1 OUT OF 3. 2% and Firefox 38. 2% (! ). Additional notables: Safari A COUPLE OF. 4% and Opera A SINGLE. 1%. Netscape 4 less than 0. 01%… report. Konqueror only slightly more than NS4. I actually much like the Opera rendering motor… I just loathe the browser which surrounds it. In the months and many years, IE and Firefox were getting closer and also closer for … Continue reading

Google Analytics Alternative

Definitely everyone, I have to admit, this is the first time I have definitely dug into implementing Google Analytics (i realize… i know), and I truly finding it intriguing. I think exactly what I find so fascinating is seeing where your traffic is via. Specifically when it relates to the map overlay. Has anyone in addition tried anything very much alike Google Analytics Honestly, I don’t think I would pay for this kind of service from a different company since Google’s is already free. So if any person has any alternatives that could be worth checking out then please tell me. Log into your own webhost’s control section (for your website) and decide if they have a very few different stats programs, like AWSTATS… that’s worth keeping. Your webhost may well be already doing it for you personally. . Many thanks, I will take a look and see exactly what I find. I use 1and1 incidentally. Yeah, I truly like Google Analytics also! It’s really interesting to check out where traffic arises from etc. I know that there are different programs (Mint, BLVD, Clicky Web Analytics) around, but some of them cost money. I just sorted out AWSTATS which is … Continue reading
