Stretching jpegs to fit browser window

Hello, My organization is a musician, not only a web-designer. I recently used a web-designer that will put a site together. One of the particular requests I made was that the jpegs I cropped for your 17" screen with a 1024 resolution ‘stretch’ to suit into a 16 to 19" inch screen, much like it is possible to stretch an photograph in windows to suit your desktop. I will not care about pixelization. I experimented with the images employing a simple ‘zoom in’ as well as ‘zoom out’ software. Yes, there has been pixelization, but, the feel belonging to the image didn’t modify. I was ok by it. The designer provided me with one among an image this stretched very nicely in Firefox. However, but there’s more stretch vertically around IE. And I don’t know how it looks for a Mac platform. The designer said ?t had been a simple little bit of javascript he used for that Firefox. Does anyone know of any workaround. I want large jpegs ( averaging 70k ) that will stretch horizontally and vertically to suit 15 to 19" privacy screens in I. AGE., Firefox, and with a Mac platform. Bless you. http: //www. webdesignforums. … Continue reading

When WHEN I opened the updated page in Firefox, all I acquired was gibberish — Chinese or Western characters, and a number of others. The WEB ADDRESS is www. protonfabrication. com, and here’s this strange part – it displays the right way when I’m directed there by the link on yet another page, like the particular portfolio page (www. protonfabrication. com/portfolio-page-1. htm). The particular link takes us to www. protonfabrication. com/index. htm certainly not www. protonfabrication. com whilst they’re the similar page. When WHEN I type www. protonfabrication. com into your search window, WHEN I get gibberish, although add " index chart. htm" and this works. The homepage displays as it should in Mozilla, and also doesn’t in Opera. Clearly, I’m new to the, and any help can be appreciated. Things worked very good until I adjusted the date for the homepage yesterday, and I do not know what I may have done. Any ideas gives thanks, Andrew When you attempt to accessibility a root area (such as space. com), the browser actively seeks index. htm, index chart. html, home. htm, house. htm (default and … Continue reading

MS Office Live websites

MICROSOFT Office Live, which I am some sort of beta member, is known for a free website and website name. The idea sucks. I listed with http: //www. alanhogan. net/ plus its just an hideous 1999 template wizard that you just run in your browser. Really. I used software this way half a decades ago. I also couldn’t see any selections to post HTML PAGE or other files that i actually created, with the exception you could upload images. Don’t jump for this horrendously crappy providing from Microsoft. Live Mail is utterly worthless, especially in Firefox. There’s not even a check many checkbox when viewing a folder. Now some other Microsoft beta programs that I am a member far more significant than Stay Mail, those are nice. Some programs specifically are monumental advancements over their good old versions, although it’s eerie to get Microsoft call me following on bug reports. they actually call your own home For among the dozen or consequently bugs I submitted.

Colour scheme for new site

I’m back building a new site, and get the layout planned and created. Nevertheless, my main problem (and the thing I’m not way too good with) will be the colour scheme. You can view how far I have got here, without the need of content or anything: http: //chrisbrewster. co. uk/mm MY PARTNER AND I particularly want the actual purple in generally there, but I’m unsure the gradients job, or if your dark background causes it to become look tacky. I’m trying your fixed width and also centred layout this occassion round. You could possibly notice the left border being a bit thicker inside Firefox too. For whatever reason, the vertical line around the background image didn’t appear in IE7 (must be obscured through the other divs), nevertheless worked fine along with FF. So I put in a left border for peace of mind. Almost any ideas peeps Thanks. hey guy, same with my family. not very beneficial choosin colors but i nfind that site help guides me within the right direction. likewise got this JUST ONE from karrine (cheers btw) desire it helps Thanks, I’ll look in those.
