Cannot Connect to FTP

Hello, 2 , 3 weeks ago I got no problems registering to two servers through ftp. Now they do not work. My organization is trying through SmartFTP, Dreamweaver, plus IE. None may accept my usernames or perhaps passwords, which I am aware are correct. I also tried to have help from my hosting service. They were able to connect using the username and password, but for whatever reason I cannot via my computer. I get " a great ftp error features ocurred" or " would not connect because this target machine definitely refused it. " There has to be anything on my machine that will prevent ftp accesss by all programs this way I have allowed full entry to all of my own ftp programs throughout my firewall. Thanks for the help! Did you attempt simply disabling your firewall While FTP programs happen to be granted full entry, it may are enabled incorrectly, or there will probably be something else there preventing an association. Dreamweaver MX – remove locked file

For whatever reason, a file on my workplace is becoming locked by Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver will not want to present it back. 90% of that time period I will be one editing the report but sometimes it will have other people. To edit the item I created a brand new file with that changes and FTP’d it towards the server (not by means of Dreamweaver). Therefore, how do WE unlock this dam file MY SPOUSE AND I right click the particular file, click Check out, click No for Independant Files then We are told " The FTP error happened, cannot get archive. html" Virtually any ideas, cheers.

Access Denied Message/ No files

Howdy I can’t see any in the files in dreamweaver for the remote side and also I can’t distribute or download anything though have a very conection with this host. I obtain message that states " access said, ftp error occured, the file won’t exist, check permissions. " Any Ideas Many thanks Was the track created or uploaded by just a different user account If you upload a report with " root", by way of example, you can’t then overwrite it with a different account if you don’t have 777 permissions set within the file. Certainly, the site was designed and uploaded by someone else. Can you be specific about 777 permissions to the file. I have been troubleshooting this for some time now and could possibly really use several help rectifying this. If you provides more info I’d really thankyou.
