The Golden Search Triangle
Include just read this particular interesting article… http: //www. eyetools. com/inpage/research_google_eyetracking_heatmap. htm Summing up: they tracked peoples’ eye movement on google. The top remaining is where all of the focus is. If you’re about to advertise on any kind of site (especially search sites) have an advert positioning from the triangle they’ve identified as this is when it is visiting get the nearly all attention. It’s pretty cool that they have the technology to study something similar to that, but don’t people think the findings were somewhat obvious Naturally by far the most focus is going to be where the major content is, especially on the topmost part on the site. Anyway, thanks for the particular link. Appears like Jacob Nielsen’s research results from your decade ago!: -P Zero wonder why he says " Logo number one and Nav for the left!! "; -) *Astonishing* Up till currently I never knew that coming to the top on the search results was as good as the bottom! I am sorry… this eye tracking stuff is a bunch of BS. They sometimes fully admit, in accordance with their studies, sometimes people click " not having looking" or study " without considering the … Continue reading

Photoshop CS4 for building Websites???
I realize a guy whom makes 200k each year, and designs internet sites in Photoshop CS4. I’m not going for you to post the illustration but will describe what I saw from the " code": – A lot of spacer gifs along with other images. No genuine navigation, but non published numbers and email communications information. He is the best artist, but claims to become good in math to the issue of Quantum Physics. Why can’t he create AJAX, PHP, or perhaps XHTML for this sake Anyways, contact me jealous, for the reason that getting paid SIX HUNDRED. 00 to ONE, 700. 00 a website for something thrown together in a WYSIWYG seems similar to highway roberry in my opinion! Welcome to an unpleasant truth. When sales climbs up against web design — web site design loses. Until and unless you can couple a killer sales pitch with sound web site design, that’s the way things will stay. I will point out the trashy signal does open some sort of stellar opportunity — for a sales person. My suggesting is always to dump the next code fad for a stint learning sales. It is every single bit as tough as … Continue reading

screen resolution
I would really prefer to know, concerning the resolution. I have developed my resolution for the next resoulation that is certainly 1280 X600. Used to do some reasearch some months back and decdied make use of this resolution, however while i view it in my laptop, that is 1280X800 the menu about the left hand facet becomes unproportioned. Is there any way of having around this, or do I really need a code that tells the completed user what decision the site draws on. Disproportioned precisely how… In relation to the remaining portion of the layout… The food selection itself gets even larger in size Resolution is dependent upon target. Many follow usability wizard Jacob Nielsen that suggests you enhance for 1024×768 but provide larger screen resolutions. Lots of people will discuss ease of access. Okay… in concept. But while most of these guys are making your lens site accessible towards the blind, a small bitty tidbit of information goes absent. How about figuring out who the internet site is primarily for, then make that accessible to all of them At this point, this goes over rails as effectively. Every fledgling custom has illusions concerning Fortune 500 clients. However, if … Continue reading
