What should I do with this layout?

I’ve had this format for nearly annually now. I enjoy it, and once i pulled it out today I realized how awesome it can be. Problem is, the content the item currently has was to get a site that will definately have a different name/purpose/etc. The look just didn’t fit the purpose And so, what do people think a layout like that should do What type of site do you feel it being Now i’m tempted to just allow it to be a blog design and style and give the item away to anyone… that’s my idea atm. Any thoughts http: //staging. neathdesign. com/whatever. gif I might say a cool and happening organization, like a startup technology firm. Suppose you transform your titles within the left to: " What the heck is Linux", " Free Download", " Understand how To" (keep it the way it is! ), " Help Forum". You get my drift. Not surprisingly, it can sign up for more than merely a linux company, but since this is very topical at this point, I thought to use it to illustrate. You can even keep your MySQL error Really cool design, by how! What regarding a travel provider … Continue reading

Freeware and Opensource alternatives

Do you have any decent freeware as well as opensource alternatives to programs for instance frontpage or dreamweaver NVu is one particular I’ve heard nutrients about — dependant on Mozilla Composer, it truly is apparently come any ways. Quanta+ is extremely good but it really is currently Linux-only. KDE FIVE may just carry it to Windoze, but that’s a waays off, Now i am afraid. I can’t imagine any others off the top of my head currently. I accustomed to use a application called 1st Page which is an excellent WEB CODING editor. I used this a lot before I obtained Dreamweaver. You can download it without cost here: http: //www. evrsoft. com/1stpage2. shtml.

Starting out: Need a userbase

WHEN I created http: //www. the-paragon. net sale about 10 times ago…. It’s had all around 450 visitors so far, and very a number of them have stuck around to post inside shoutbox or register inside the forum….. So I became wondering, how does one build a good userbase Beware of any techniques WHEN I should know Generally speaking, if you have fabulous content and add to it often users will refuse to leave. You could have really cool wallpapers, but that’s over it. Just keep creating more, and even when people don’t subscribe to your forum or reply with your shoutbox you could be sure that they’ll be exploring. I mean, c’mon, I did! I agree. just keep introducing quality content and also invite them to chat in regards to the content or whatever you wish.. Aspect note: Best forum skin about space I’ve previously seen.. gj with that.. Gives thanks, guys…. By means of quality content, people mean…. what, exactly In terms of the wallpapers, a new one is posted about once a week Amazing, great wallpapers! Previously used one. As soon as I get Linux jogging again, I get the feeling my several desktops will each have … Continue reading

Browser speed comparison

http: //www. howtocreate. corp. uk/browserSpeed. html This reveals alittle biased, although some should spark some interest. Rather than biased at most, it’s know of which Opera in Microsoft windows Boxes loads much faster than IE and also FF. But at Linux boxes, FF is faster in loading versus the others. This is nothing new truly, you can Google these items up.

Duel layouts

We’ve started a job on my website to which, depending on any time on the users’ period on their laptop will load up one of two layouts. I will put a link at each layout to allow for the user for you to switch between that skins. I am regarding designing graphically right now, instead of subject matter. I will be adding content while my site grows. The very first layout is these: http: //www. remidica. net/x/ The other layout is these: http: //www. remidica. net/x/x/ Really, I’ve already got the joke about the double x’s and having to make a third layout for your final X. My question is that I don’t want to have the second layout being excatly like the very first layout. The navigation at the end is what is actually driving me insane. Does anyone have got any ideas on how I could truthfully lay out the navigation on the second layout Every comments, good and also bad, for this is certainly welcome! The more I am aware the better. And – as much as I know, both sites really should be viewed in all broswers (unknown regarding Opera), and all os’s (unknown for Linux).

IE for Linux via Wine — FINALLY EASY!!

So, I realize the majority around here probably don’t utilize Linux, but for those who do, I found essentially the most fantastic little script recently. It’s called IEs SEVERAL Linux, and the idea basically just works and installs IE6, 5. 5, AND 5 VARIOUS. 01, with the Flash 8 tool, and puts some shortcuts on your desktop to that three. Totally kickass, and it’s going to make my diagnostic tests life SOO much easier and therefore run them at my desktop. Right now, for reference, IE leaped in Wine ahead of, but I’ve tried to go through the process over and over again and it merely wouldn’t work. This script is awesome because doing so does it all to suit your needs! Yay!! So, I’m done: -P do you think its worth while getting linux. i’ve got some sort of spare computer and was thinking about getting it in. do you learn a rough cost correctly A rough cost for Linux is somewhere near $0. 00 http: //www. gentoo. org/ http: //www. kubuntu. org/ http: //www. ubuntu. com/ http: //www. opensuse. org/ http: //fedora. redhat. com/ Opt for one Or, do a search for linux distribution’ and you also should … Continue reading

http://www.2advanced.com/

http: //www. 2advanced. com/ Recently became available with v5 of their site. DAMN. They’ve outdone themselves this time around. Ya… saw that a few months ago actually. Every couple of months or so, POST pop-in on which site and find what’s happening. Its blog is helpful too While I’ll appreciate good style, I followed that link and reprehended into this: I’m afraid this site has already failed for me (no Flash 8 for Linux). Having switched to the nearby House windows box, it appears to be pretty, but I dislike the navigation very much. Namely, main navigation is due to too many sites. POST dunno, it strikes me to be a typical pretty-but-not-so-usable webpage. That aside from the fact that many links didn’t work with me and a back corner button hack some people did only seems to figureout half the moment. But maybe which is just Firefox. yes, it’s probably designed for WinBoxen, but it’s perty They’re an enormous firm. Rumors that I’ve truly heard say that they do an analysis of one’s company before they will design, and that analysis is $15K or even so. They demand hourly, and with regard to 3 pages, it’s like 50K (I’m … Continue reading

Sub this font…

Yo, I’m designing a website for someone plus they’ve requested which i use a font called Frutiger for that site, but it seems that a majority of people (me included) is not going to have this font mounted on their cpu, so I had been wondering what folks what you individuals would recommend to be a substitue. There’s among the font for the good ol’ Wikipedia: http: //en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Frutiger I reckon Verdana nevertheless that’s probably cos I have a thing as it and use it continuously anyways. Kind regards ears Chip Verdana may look pretty nearby. Of course you could have the right idea that numerous people will not need that font on their system in order that it will not work as they definitely are hoping. The only fonts i always would consider safe since we have a good chance it is installed upon Windows, Mac, and Linux are: Arial, Georgia, Courier New, Times New Roman, Verdana, Trebuchet. There are many others that are also well supported in all platforms however dont I dont discover their usefulness including: Comic Sans, Arial Black, and Impact. Verdana happens to become my most valued choice plus the one I use on … Continue reading

Text and graphics overlapping when displayed in firefox/linux

Hello all, My cousin has designed the woman’s website using Dreamweaver FIVE. 0. Looks equally she wants the idea to when considered with Firefox on the inside Windows but any time viewed in Firefox using Linux the text desires to overlap the graphics below it. See link below for any with Linux. http: //www. smokesignalsfarm. com/Mares. html I guess my issue is, how should your lady go about ensuring that her website turns up well in different os’s and windows In FF in PC I have text overlapping images… is that just what exactly you mean (see attachement) Check out attachment 3456 Firstly DW4… that’s similar to… REALLY old!: ermm: DW reaches 8 now. Plus frankly, if you’re about to use DW WYSIWYG to build your page, I suggest the latest version since the idea creates page far better than older reproductions. I still doesn’t produce the top code on this planet but it’s far better than before. : let down: We appear to possess more problems as compared with we thought. Yours has overlaps about the horizontal plain along with the page seems to jog off the perfect hand side, unlike mine, when observing in linux, has overlaps about … Continue reading
