Navigation help… Links galore!
Hi folks, This probably will prove to be a cold article, but I am thinking of getting some constructive feedback with a draft navigation system geared for this personal/professional website. And this I have a long way: As an alternative to the above navigation system, I was also contemplating having four most important links: Those four is a visible main hyperlinks, and the rest is hidden via some sort of dropdown and/or Flash-based routing… Anyhow, please feel zero cost to comment/suggest/critisize this above mock course-plotting… I am furthermore contemplating having sub-links for my portfolio segment too… What are peoples thoughts regarding one-word links compared to multi-word links… example: Impress Design vs Print Sonic Comps or Audio And so on… Thanks beforehand, cheers! < /m> Not a bad idea, but unless you’ve got a huge amount of stuff for each category, you will find that there defintely won’t be much content within the page. Perhaps splitting a person’s categories up directly into smaller sections in lieu of having 10 inside the portfolio, have between one and four. Once you have a large amount of stuff within these sub-categories, then it is best to expand. Just this view anyhow. I’d personally have … Continue reading →

I realize HTML, CSS, a few PHP, and a number of Javascript. I can code an internet site .. I even learn my way all over Gimp 2 quite well. I tough to create attractive, visually stunning internet sites like I see other members develop. I have searched online but I haven’t much found anything containing given me information about how to take my designs into the next level. Can anyone offer just about any websites, books, or help in this problem With thanks There are 3 OR MORE main elements that enter a site’s deisgn – simple use, up-to-date, and personality (in my personal opinion). should do a bunch with usability. Designs that work is usually more beautiful subsequently one with dazzling images but is hard to apply (i. e, little textual images, etc). Because of this , a lot with sites use text for his or her navigation system plus such, not images – not alone because text is simple to operate, people are used to having the same sort of font everywhere across the web, making all of them feel more " on home". It’s also why icons are employed sparingly and not each alternate thing uses … Continue reading →

Site Navigation and where am I now?
So, I’d like to help hear from individuals who are far much more experienced than me in web site design. The site I will be working on may be a hobby. The entertaining, geeky role playing community sorts of hobby. I include an over all idea, as to how I would like things to appear, but I really know what I want, is actually beyond my encounter. So, any suggestions as well as helpful insights have become much appreciated. Somewhere along the line, I got the idea in my head that we wanted to employ Joomla, and implement it for overall navigation system for that site. I’m sure CSS could do the identical job. Since that is the hobby, a play-by-post RPG town, I decided around the overall color style, being similar inside color to outdated vellum. 20 a matter of minutes in gimp, and I could have a quality faux-vellum image to tile inside the background. The main feature from the site would be your forum itself, in addition to a wiki. Several minor things, mostly dealing with the PHPBB mods may just be added as buttons, but I had intended in gathering a Joomla theme to take care … Continue reading →
