Dreamweaver CS3 – How to move an existing site to a new root folder
Greetings, when I first created my webpage I defined it from a random folder of my own ring choosing. Now, many months regarding construction later I’d like add some php related stuff and also have to setup a correct local testing equipment. I therefore have to move the complete thing to an htpdocs subfolder throughout MAMP – how does someone do this and so all links plus filepaths etc are generally updated Thank you! If you mouse click on the ‘Manage Site’ switch, you can select your internet site and hit ‘Edit’. From here it is possible to change the root directory on the website. In addition, if you designed your website correctly, you should’nt must change any inbound links. GL you happen to be correkt – us and my assumptions. Thanks to your help.

Cms intergration
THEY WOULD everyone, I a web site designer but i do not use cms at all, and now starting to seem more into that. On earth do you help me at these matters Basically want a few pages as well as one on my site being content manageable, maybe a client that can edit text at one page, but i will not want the whole site made by a cms. How to go about this Next making drupal template/theme fro current pages if possible Quite a few thanks Gren Look into cushy CMS. WordPress can be easier if you will have never used just one before. It actually could possibly be easier to convert your entire site to a CMS rather than trying to make a couple pages that way for anyone who is new at this specific. Otherwise, you have in order to upload the cms to a different folder in your server and place those pages you need to be manageable to that folder. Then, you’d ought to work from in that folder to make your CMS fit your existing website. This all gets easier with time, and can actually be implemented easily by using some experience…. but … Continue reading

Server side redirect for mobile/handheld users
Greetings All I’ve been looking into an effective way to redirect people accessing a niche site via handheld devices, to a focused page for mobile or portable users. I’ve found sources teaching me how to accomplish this via javascript and php, but post wondered if anybody knew a server side way eg via htaccess file I have only until now found this : but unsure of the way to use it or whether this is actually the way to take action: (http: //www. alistapart. com/articles/return-of-the-mobile-stylesheet) (I understand that recently there’s recently been news that Google advises to never redirect and to help keep people on the identical url, but for this purpose, i do desire to redirect them) Thank you! Here’s an added complete version. Stylesheet type: Put this in a file called ". htaccess" and save that file from the directory with your primary css file (presumably identified as style. css). There it is possible to create a separate file called cellular. css for cellular devices. Code: RewriteCond %REQUEST_URI! /mobiledirectoryhere/. *$ RewriteCond %HTTP_ACCEPT " text\/vnd\. wap\. wmlapplication\/vnd\. wap\. xhtml\+xml" NC, AND ALSO RewriteCond %HTTP_USER_AGENT " sonysymbiannokiasamsungmobilewindows ceepocopera" NC, AND ALSO RewriteCond %HTTP_USER_AGENT " mininitroj2memidp-cldc-netfrontmotup\. browserup\. linkaudiovox" NC, AND ALSO … Continue reading
