How do I convince a client to let go of an old design?

Has anyone ever had a web layout client who refused all though the most lame of layouts Relating to a client who would like to keep their tiled background *shudder* plus banner *double shudder* mainly because he likes in order to change them often *triple shudder*. That is the business site, and I’ve tried to convince him to look at a nicer, a lot more stable layout (that doesn’t change color as well as pattern every month), but he seems to would like to keep as much the way in which it is as possible. The longer I believe about it, a lot more I realize: all he or she is getting for my trouble may be a navigation bar… and he doesn’t like something concerning this (but he is not going to tell me what exactly, so I can’t remedy it! ). His / her site currently purposes frames… poorly, in addition to he uses your Yahoo hosting company (which means not any PHP or CGI! ). Did I discuss he keeps EVERYTHING in one directory Finding an image (and you will find about a million of them) will be hell. And I’m not allowed to use lookup directories … Continue reading

Website Submission process.. how long??

okay say we have a new web page design project.. and the because of date is 2 months down the road… would it be smart to do a splash page w/ some related keywords along with meta tags to ensure my website is definitely being crawled by the search engines by the time it really is completed and ready to go live… also the time does it take for google that will actualy process a new s ubmission so it even exists in the search engine It may well help a little to obtain a page these days, with some basic content – though without the serious amounts connected with content, or any inbound links, you won’t seriously rank well in the least for anything. The reason I’d undertake it is because Google takes how far the site has existed into consideration when working out search engine results positioning positions. If you and also a competitor have an equal amount of backlinks, content, etc, but your site age is over the age of theirs, you should do better. The difference may be marginal but it’s there yet. In response to how long it takes to appear within Google, usually you … Continue reading

Is there ways to do this around coding, or can it be something that google will perform as an supplemental service Thanks for virtually every help, Dan It’s identified as " sitelinks" (or " sublinks" )… Search engine does that on auto-pilot. The user offers no control around that. Suggestions more information. http: //www. search engine. com/searchq=google sitelinks Creating a Google sitemap will assist Google in processing it easier. . " A person earn sitelinks". Basically in case you have a site with such authority over a subject or topic that every one of the information is of use, you get sitelinks. Just like mlseim said, this is certainly totally beyond that user’s control… but it’s wicked cool if you get them. Used to do wonder why all people doesn’t have these folks. Thanks to the info. Maybe I’ll earn some sometime! With in which outlook, you … Continue reading
